Spirit of the River

The river's spirit loving and blithe

Danced around in the morning light

Boundless energy surged forth

Florid was her complexion

Sharp and stunning and lithe

The little spirit took flight

For the darkness of the north

And found a malodorous section

Trapped in torrential smells

The river's spirit wept and sighed

But along came a bustling soul

One of the mighty sky

Traveling towards ringing bells

The two spirits began to glide

Foaming waters became their goal

And the sky's soul started to cry

As the river's spirit kissed the water

Crystal-clear and icy

And slid beneath its gentle flow

Back home to the place she knew
