One who is lost
Stands in a place
Where the sun never shines
Her eyes travel around the frozen land
Barren and deserted it stands
Ice flutters down
Coating the sand around
As icing on a cake
No words escape the one
Lost among the shadows
Although pain grips her
Holds her dear
All without a word
Frost tickles her
Landing on her pale skin
Yet she feels it not
Cold ensnares her limbs
But she doesn't fight back
She stands still
A statue made of ice
Unable to move
Breath
Yet out of the ice
Comes one with hope
Slowly he moves
Snow clings to his feet
But is kicked away
His warm breath touches the girl
Around her the ice melts
Freeing her from her frigid end
Frost still dances on her cheek
And her savior leans in
Warm lips touch her skin
Driving away the cold still near
She smiles as he pulls away
And kisses him back
All around them ice melts
As their love blossoms
Like flowers in spring
No chill remains
As they walk away
Into the place
Where the sun now stays
The place with a kiss
A kiss of warmth
