Friends share secrets
That much may be true
But in times of need
Will that truth stand
Who will be strong when you are weak
Tossed as a leaf in the wind
When a friend falls
Who picks them back up
A leader fair and true
One who takes care
Of their friends
As a mother cares for her child
But if darkness swallows the leader
Who takes their place
If the leader fails
Do the followers die
Wilting away as leaves in the sun
Or do they push back
To save their leader
In times of great trouble
Show great strength
Lead those who struggle
Against what makes them special
To those who suffer
Take care of them
And when you need help
If trouble overwhelms you
Lean on someone
One who is a leader
To you
For as the sun sets
And rises the next day
A leader takes care of their own
But a follower
A follower supports their leader
For when clouds blot out the sun
And the leader stumbles in the dark
It's the follower's turn to help them
Until the sun shines again
