Under a Crimson Moon

Darkness blankets the deep waves

While pale clouds hide the moon

No stars guide the way

As the shadow moves through the night

Absorbing every grain of sand

Every rock, flower, and leaf

Until the beach is clothed in darkness

Hungry waves lap at the shadow

As if fighting back

And the shadow slides under the water

Black waves reach for the clouds

Allowing the crimson moon to survey the water

The ocean's depths reflect its glow

Turning the water an ominous red

Beneath its crimson waves

Roars the shadow dark and fierce

Trapped by its own reflection

It melts into the crimson water

And to this day the dark ocean

Mirrors the image of the blood-soaked moon

And reminds the ocean of the shadow

That dared to destroy its haunting beauty
