Bright moon hear the cry
Of love and heartbreak side to side
As midnight dreams start to die
The watchful child longs to hide
Hide from the bright full moon
From those who watch with darkened eyes
As the night turns to day and to noon
A watchful child longs to cry
Close friends hear her words
For trouble she is in
Her cry is like a bird's
Yet she waits in a shadowed den
Hurry friends don't delay
As pain grips the watchful girl
They gather round and pray
And allow her feelings to unfurl
Just in time, friends dear
The watchful child lives on
Good job, friends so near
Her life will remain till Dawn
Yet how do I know she lives still
For she speaks to few
The watchful child is me and I have a will
To survive with friends that are new
