Chapter 20: An Intruder, The Elder, A Picture
Thirty or so minutes later, Jay and I stumbled out of my messy bathroom. Glass shards littered the floor because Jay had accidentally crashed into the mirror, nearly taking out the sink as well. He also ripped up my clothes again.
"Stay out. You really need to control yourself," I accused before disappearing into my cave in panties that were barely hanging on. I heard his deep chuckled from the opening of the cave. I switched into a pair of shorts and another tank top. Maybe wearing such little clothing around a sex-crazed vampire wasn't a good idea, but I couldn't care at the moment. For the first time in my life, I was seriously burning up. Everywhere.
I don't know what Jay does to me, but his touches set me on fire in the best way possible. Jay reminded me so much of Trace, and I hated him for that. But he was his own different person, too. Honestly, I was happy about all this. I was happier than I had been in a long time. I'd never tell him that to his face, of course. The vampire's ego was big enough.
Holy Mary, I needed a freaking fan. I put a hand to my brow and was surprised when I felt it was wet. Was I sweating? That was a first. That reminds me; I never asked Jay why I was so cold all the time. Temperature wise. Then again, there was probably no point. The vampire was obviously clueless as to what I was. And just about everything else.
I walked outside to see Jay patiently waiting at the edge of my bed. His eyebrows shot up when he looked at me. "Seeing you in that is getting me all excited again," he purred. I knew it.
Ignoring him, I walked through the broken door of my bathroom, yelling behind me, "Get me a bra, Jay!" Okay maybe having him handle personal undergarments of mine was not a good idea, but I was focused on cooling down.
I splashed my face with water from the sink, instantly feeling a bit of relief as my body headed towards its usual temperature. It wasn't that I didn't like the hint, but I just was so unused to it.
I went back out and saw Jay playing with obviously see-through lingerie. "I knew there was a catch to you. You're a cross dresser, ain't ya?" I sighed dramatically with a dejected look.
Jay shrugged. "I always had a thing for dresses. They looked so dainty and fun." I walked over and snatched the bra not even a hooker would wear. "Man, I thought I'd look really good in that...Or you could try it on instead?" he joked, only half-kidding.
"Not even if it would keep me from goin' to hell. Where are others?" Jay pointed towards a black dresser in the corner. It really blended in with the dark background. The dresser was full of panties and such. I rustled through the drawers and dozens of lingerie. About half--no over half of it was of sexy, see-through lingerie. "I'm guessing you bought most of these." My annoyance grew the further I went.
Eventually, I found a decent bra that I could wear. When I turned around, Jay was lying on the bed, looking at me expectantly. "Turn around and close your eyes, vampire. Or I will close them for you. Permanently," I threatened. Of course I didn't mean it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't hurt him.
Jay obediently flopped onto his back...which gave me a great view of his ass. I quickly took off my shirt, slipped the bra on, and hastily put my tank top back on. But not before I heard a growl from Jay.
I spun around to face him. "You peeked!" I glared at him. His mouth curled up at the corners, unrepentant. I was about to go over and punch the smile off his face when Kiziah's barking suddenly got my attention. She was beside the three dogs that were curled up around her. I guess they took a liking to my bestia.
Kiziah looked at me with her head cocked in a funny way. She looked at Jay before looking back at me and licked her lips. I got the gist of what she's saying. 'Knock yourself out,' I thought to her. Her head tilted in the other way in confusion. 'I mean yes. Go ahead.' Her mouth opened in funny way with her tongue hanging out. I think it was the equivalent of a smile.

Trust a Vampire? You've gotta be kidding me.
VampireI killed the only man I knew and loved. Well shit. Will I let the pain consume me or will I find light in my darkened days. Or will I die from too much exposure of Jay's cocky, arrogant, ignorant, unhelpful, snobby voice. I don't know, but probably...
