Chapter 37: Through Different Eyes

Devil POV

I watched my pet sprout a tail for each sin from my seat on the stairs. Seven gleaming beauties came out. And so did the boy. Shocked and horrified, he pulled out of my girl with a curse, stumbling back to land on his ass. Silver eyes glared at him. A second later, Leila's now-hellhound began mauling the boy as she ripped pieces off his body. I pleasured in his screams. He deserved it for defiling my pet.

Her name was Avdimi. I liked to call her Dimi for short. Sounded cute, but meant destruction and loss. Which is what she caused. I found it fitting.

The brunette Pureblood joined in the scream-fest, losing her concentration and putting Dimi back in motion. Their fear was hilarious. Dimi broke the Hagar bones around her wrists with some strength. They were some strong shit. She fell to the ground on her knees and hands, but quickly broke the bonds holding her feet.

Suddenly, a tail flew out and impaled the brunette against the wall. Her head smashed against the stone, knocking her out. Ha, if you kind of tilted your head to the side, the blood splatter looked like a star.

The other boy that was not having his entrails ripped out tried escaping up the stairs. He didn't see me as I stood up to give him a swift kick to the gut. The vampire had a hilarious shocked expression as he tumbled back down, hitting his head several times.

Leila's dog left the gory remains of the blond boy to dismantle the other one while Dimi focused

on the girl with the video camera. Well, she had the video camera. She dropped it now. That was the girl Valerie and I talked to.

The horror in her face was priceless. I slapped my knee.

"What the fuck are you!" She yelled.

What a dumb question to ask before you die. Does it really matter at that point?

"Your worst nightmare," Dimi grinned. One tail sailed straight for her, but was deflected by a burst of air. My eyebrow lifted in interest. An affinity for air. That would be useful.

"Dimi, babe," I called. She looked towards me while she still tried to approach the annoying girl. She kept fending her tails off with the wind. "That ability seems nice. Why don't you take it?"

The redhead looked at me. I saw a glimmer of hope in her fear-filled eyes. Me mouth twitched into a smirk. Did she really think I would help her? "Hey! You're the guy that was with Valerie! You're spose to be really powerful or something right? Help me!" That would be a yes.

I walked down the steps, careful not to step on the body of mindless flesh on the floor. "Why, yes. I do think I am pretty strong. Unfortunately, not here, though," I kicked the gurgling blond boys head away from my feet as I stood by Dimi. "So I have a beautiful pet to do the dirty work for me up here."

"Dude, what are you doing! That freak is going to kill you!" the dimwit exclaimed. Hello, has she not been listening to a single word I said?

One of Dimi's tails of sin curled around me affectionately. "No she's not," I snorted. I can see why Leila hated her so much. The bitch was annoying as hell. "Listen, you whore. I'm with her, not with you. You're going to die. I'm the Devil. Dimi, my beast of sin, here is going to kill you. She's going to drink your blood to get your ability. Don't have any hope of surviving because your body with be destroyed beyond repair as will the rest of you all," I informed gazing around the room. "You will linger here in death until some sunlight barbeques you up. Then, I will be waving to you from the top of the torturous pit in Hell that I will throw your corrupted souls into." I don't think I could get much simpler than that. "Any questions?" I drawled.
