I stretched my arms when I woke up in the morning and quite literally almost hit my husband of now one month, Shawn Mendes.

"Be careful with those gorgeous arms babe." Shawn said. I opened my eyes and looked at the handsome man laying next to me. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"Sorry honey. Good morning." I said as he pulled me closer to him.

"It's okay. Good morning my love. Happy one month anniversary." Shawn said and my smile widened.

"Happy one month anniversary." I said. Shawn kissed my forehead and the spot that he had kissed was left feeling tingly even after his lips were no longer there.

"You know, if the rest of our marriage is anything like our first month, we're going to be just fine." Shawn said. I nodded.

"Yeah. I think that as long as we communicate and stick together we'll be fine." I said. Shawn nodded.

"Let's go out and get some coffee. Let's make it a date." Shawn said.

"Really?" I asked. He nodded.

"Yeah. Come on babe." Shawn said. We got up and got dressed. Since it's the summer, I dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, and Shawn did the same. We got in the car and drove to a local coffee shop. We soon sat down and started to sip our coffees.

"I love you Shawn." I said. His smile widened.

"I love you too Y/n. Remember the week at the lake house when we first got engaged?" Shawn asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure that that whole week was magical." I said. Shawn nodded.

"Mrs. Mendes?" He asked. My new name caused my smile to widen and my heart fluttered.

"Yes Mr. Mendes?" I asked.

"I want to play with your wedding ring. Can I play with it?" Shawn asked. I nodded.

"Of course babe. You like to play with it, don't you?" I asked. Shawn chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah. I put this ring here. Gosh our wedding day was magical." Shawn said. I nodded as he continued to play with my ring and I sipped my coffee.

"Yup. It took everything in me not to run down that aisle to you." I said with a giggle and Shawn laughed.

"I immediately started crying when I saw you. Oh my gosh honey you looked so gorgeous, but then again, you always do." Shawn said, and I blushed.

"Thank you baby. You looked so handsome, but then again, you always do." I said, and Shawn blushed. He then kissed my hand and then sipped some of his coffee.

"Can we just go back to that day please?" Shawn asked and I laughed.

"I wish we could babe. That was the best day of my life." I said.

"That was the best day of our lives." Shawn said and I nodded. I then reached up and stroked his cheek with my thumb.

"Eleven more months and then we'll start trying to make a baby." I said. Shawn's smile widened again and he nodded.

"Yup. I want a little girl first." He said. I nodded.

"Me too babe. I miss the lake house." I said, referring to the lake house that Shawn and I got engaged at. It belongs to a family friend but they offered it to us for a week, and that's when Shawn proposed.

"I know, I miss it too, but we have all of our memories there and we have pictures." Shawn said. I nodded.

"Yeah. Remember when you were chasing me around the deck?" I asked with a giggle. Shawn laughed and nodded.
