129. Pregnancy Hormones

About two months ago, my husband Shawn Mendes and I found out that we had become pregnant. This caused us to be ecstatic. Today, we have a doctors appointment to see if we're going to have a boy, or a girl. Shawn and I are both really hoping that it's a girl. Shawn soon came into the bedroom and smiled at me.

"You almost ready to go darling?" He asked. I nodded and stood up.

"Yes but can I have a hug first before we leave?" I asked. Shawn nodded.

"Of course you can have a hug baby. Come here." He said as he opened his arms for me to come into. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and I wrapped my arms around his torso. He rubbed my back a little bit and I closed my eyes a little, liking the soothing feeling.

"I love you." I said. Shawn kissed the top of my head.

"I love you too. We should get going." Shawn said. I nodded and we interlaced fingers. As our skin touched, I felt electricity spark through me yet I felt safe and warm all at the same time. We soon got in the car and Shawn started to drive away and towards the doctors office. I suddenly felt nervous as I held one of Shawn's hands as he drove. Shawn could sense this, and he squeezed my hand.

"What's up my love?" I asked as I looked at my beyond handsome husband.

"What if the baby isn't healthy or something's wrong or something?" I asked as we pulled up to a red light. Shawn looked at me.

"Darling, everything will be okay, I promise." Shawn said and I nodded. He kissed my hand, and then the light turned green so we began driving again.

"Okay." I said. We soon arrived at the doctors office.

"We're here." He said. I nodded and we got out. I went up to the receptionist as Shawn stood behind me with his hand on my back.

"Y/n Mendes for Dr. Ackles." I said. She nodded and soon we were called in.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Mendes. Are you ready to find out the gender of your baby?" She said and asked. We nodded.

"Yes." We said. The doctor put the gel on me and spread the thing around.

"Well, it looks like you're having a girl. Congratulations!" She said. Shawn and I were looking at each other with tears in our eyes.

"Oh Shawn, you were right." I said. He chuckled and leaned forward to give me a kiss. I felt my heart race as if I had just ran a marathon, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my tummy, and I felt sparks shoot through me like fireworks. We soon pulled away.

"I'll give you guys the sonogram pictures and then you're all set to go." Dr. Ackles said. We nodded and looked at each other as she left the room.

"Oh my gosh darling. Your bump just bumped you up to queen. Now I have a little princess." Shawn said and I giggled. We took the sonograms and left. My mom already knew that I was pregnant because I was with her when I found out. Shawn and I got in the car and held hands. I kept looking at the sonogram photos.

"We have to tell our families and then our friends and then we have to announce it to the world." I said. Would I get hate from Shawn's fans for being pregnant with his baby girl? Shawn squeezed my hand and I looked at him. Holy crap he's handsome.

"Why do you look nervous, my love?" He asked. I sighed.

"What if I get hate because I'm pregnant with your baby?" I asked as I looked straight ahead. Shawn suddenly pulled the car over and put on his hazards. I looked over at him.

"Honey, who cares what anyone else thinks? This is our baby and as long as we're happy, and our baby girl is born happy and healthy, then nothing else should matter." He asked and said. I nodded.
