I just told my husband of a little over a year, Shawn Mendes, that I had become pregnant with his baby, causing the both of us to be ecstatic. Shawn was sitting next to me, looking at my belly hesitantly.

"What? Why are you looking at my belly like that?" I asked with a smile.

"Is it, would it, is it okay if I touch your belly?" Shawn asked. I put my hand to his cheek so he would look at me.

"Honey, this isn't just my baby, this is your baby too. You can touch my belly whenever you want. You don't even have to ask, my love. The people that I'm definitely okay with touching my belly are you, obviously, my mom, your mum, your sister, and Grace." I said. Shawn nodded and put his hand on my belly as he smiled.

"Our baby is in there." Shawn said as he looked at me with tears in his eyes. I nodded.

"Yup. And we know that if our baby is a girl, we'll name her Rose Lucille Mendes, and if our baby is a boy, we'll name him Jacob Alexander Scott Mendes, right?" I asked. Shawn nodded.

"Yeah. When do you think we'll feel the baby kick?" Shawn asked. I thought for a moment. I have a degree in psychology and I took a human growth and development class so I should know this.

"If I remember correctly, it's anywhere between sixteen to twenty two weeks." I said. Shawn's eyes widened.

"Wait, how far along are you?" Shawn asked.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure. We should set up a doctor's appointment and get that figured out." I said and Shawn nodded. When we went to the doctors office, we found out that I was about five weeks along, but it was too early to tell the gender. When I was three months pregnant, we went back and found out that we were pregnant with a baby girl.

"I'm so happy that you're getting a bump. I can't wait to see our little girl." Shawn said. The next day, we announced to our friends and family that we would be expecting a little girl in six months, causing everyone to be ecstatic - not as ecstatic as Shawn and I, but still.

When I was about five months pregnant, Shawn had an event to go to in Los Angeles. He asked if I wanted to come, and I checked with the doctor, and they said yes. I dressed up in a black dress that showed off my baby bump perfectly. By now, Shawn and I had felt our baby girl kick for the first time, which made the both of us cry happy tears. When we landed at the airport, there were fans there. Ever since I told him that I'm pregnant, Shawn has been more gentle with me, and when he saw the fans, his grip on my waist tightened as he pulled me closer to him.

"Shawn, can I get a picture with you please?" A teenage girl asked and Shawn nodded before looking at me.

"You okay if I take pictures?" Shawn asked and I nodded as I smiled at him.

"Yeah." I said. I looked around, making sure that I knew where his security guard, Jake Stras was. I spotted him and then looked back at Shawn. He was taking a picture with another fan. That fan, as Shawn was looking at someone else, came up to me.

"Hi Y/n, could I get a picture with you please?" She asked. I nodded.

"Sure." I said. She then had her friend take the picture, and in the pose, she put her hand on my growing baby bump. I tensed up. My belly is not something that I want random strangers touching - only certain people. "Please don't touch my bump." I said. The girl gave me a dirty look.

"Why not?" She asked.

"Because it's part of my body and I don't know you. There are only about five people that I feel comfortable letting touch my belly." I said. She scoffed and walked away. Whatever. It was cold out, and so I zipped up my jacket and hugged my arms to my chest and belly, not wanting random people to touch it. Another fan then came up to me and began rubbing my belly.
