"Do you want to go out?" Temari asked, my attention moved from the outside to where she was sat, "ever been to Suna?"

"No. But I'd like to," I nodded, she smiled.

"Alright you look healed enough, let's go! I'll take you out, show you around, let you have some fun," she grabbed my wrist and pulled me up and out the bed.

"Temari! She might not be strong enough yet," Gaara exclaimed. The other boy, Kankuro just separated me from Temari.

"Sorry about her, I'm Kankuro," he apologised, shaking my hand and then inspecting my wounds, "she should be fine. But... We need to get you some proper clothes. Hospital gowns are definitely not your style."

"I'll go get some of mine. She looked about the same size as me," Temari announced as she jumped out the window and started hopping along the rooftops.

She jumped out of the window. Yeah. No doubt. This is the Naruto world. Not that I doubted it seeing these three in front of me, face to face, and talking to me. This just sealed the deal.

"She's a bit too energetic sometimes," Gaara mumbled before focusing on me again, "are you a ninja?"

I froze. That's a good question.

Am I a ninja?

All I can do is martial arts.

I guess it's taijutsu here?

Maybe not...

If I am I might be acting as my Naruto series oc, which means I can control the natural surface like trees and I guess the living earth? Nothing like dirt unless it suddenly got a way to breathe and move. It's my families "kekkei genkai," my families crest is some weird assortment of leaves which is what inspired me to build up this picture of my oc. But I made that back when I was like ten. I don't remember it well.

I am quite curious whether the hand signs I made up a while ago and then the ones I memorised from the actual show actually work for me.

Or maybe I'm just useless like a person who decided not to manipulate their chakra for ninjutsu.

"I don't know," I replied, his face changed to one of confusion, "I mean, I can fight pretty well but as for ninjutsu and genjutsu, I'm usure. I can't remember much."

I have to lie, make it seem like I'm from this world or it's just going to get more complicated later on.

"I see... Kankuro, myself, you and Temari should try see if we can trigger her chakra memory. Maybe we can find out whether she's a ninja from that. If so, we need to find out more about her just in case," Gaara tell him as Temari came climbing through the window again with a pile of clothes in her hands.

"Alright, you two, out," she clapped her hands a few times before pushing them out of the room. When they were out, she helped me change into the new clothes. My body hurt still but I just bit the inside of my cheek and endured it, trying to keep it down without making it obvious to Temari. Last thing I need is to get trapped in a hospital room of all places. I hate these places. After my mum... I'm so done with them.

Now I kind of look like Temari. Awesome.

"Alright let's go, I'll show you around the village," she grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the room and past the boys. I smiled at them awkwardly as I was pulled past them. This is... weirdly accommodating. Why aren't they more weary of me? Shouldn't they be on their guard or something?

"Temari! Where are you going?" Kankuro called after us as they ran to catch up with us.

"Let's give her a warm welcoming. Show her around the village. I'm sure she's hungry, and she looked uncomfortable in that bed. I pity a tied down girl," she told them, finally releasing me as we exited the hospital.

I knelt down and placed my hand on the ground, it's actually solid. Not sinking sand like I thought it was.

"You alright down there?" Kankuro asked, I looked up and smiled.

"Yes! I'm so impressed by the land. It's amazing how you've changed the sand to sandstone where the city is!" I exclaimed standing up and admiring the whole area. It was truly beautiful.

Better than the anime and manga.

"Well she suddenly got really energetic..." Temari mumbled to her brothers as I looked around in awe.

We were on the roof of the kazekage's building when Gaara fell serious again.

"Alright, time to test you," he says, Temari and Kankuro mirrored his expression.

Really? Right now? But my body hurts... ok. You can do this, y/n, just think of it like the pain you get when you get tossed a bit awkwardly in a competition. You've totally got this.

I nodded and stood in a defensive stance.

This might not end well.

"Taijutsu?" Kankuro questioned before smirking, "I've got this.."

The other two stepped back and Kankuro met me in the middle. He quickly threw a punch, but from what I know, this was a puppet under a transformation jutsu and the real one was on his back. Feels predictable after you've watched him fight a lot.

Blocking the punch, I ran around behind him and punched the bag of bandages to hear a muffled groan from inside and gasps from the back.

Sorry, Kankuro.

"She figured it out so quickly!" Temari whispered loudly. I smiled. Of course I did, I haven't watched this show like four...six something times to not know this basic piece of information.

Gaara's PoV

She ran around Kankuro and punched him. His puppet holding him up easily fell down and he groaned from inside the bandages.

"She figured it out so quickly!" Temari whispered really loudly at me.

Yeah.

She did.

Who is this girl?

Why does she know that?
