Tsunade stepped away from me. A frown was dressing her face.

"Explain how you've been feeling again," Tsunade asked as she walked and sat on a chair.

"Well, I've been fine. Slowly forgetting thing and then suddenly and randomly my head hurts and I suddenly can't remember anything. Not from my past," I answered, thoroughly confused. She let out a long sigh.

"Y/n, I'm sorry," she gave me a weak smile, "you won't be getting those memories back. No amount of healing will fix that. I'm so sorry. Maybe if we'd have caught it earlier... I'm sorry."

I took in a deep breath and just shook my head.

"It's ok. It's not your fault," I glanced across the room to our unwitting audience. The guys in HQ weren't even trying to pretend that they weren't listening in, "let me ask, will I forget anything else?"

"We've caught whatever it was that was causing your memory to deteriorate in such a way now so no," Tsunade shook her head.

"Good," I nodded, "so I'm not at risk anymore. Let's keep this a secret for now. From Gaara, Temari, Kankuro—anyone I'm close with, really. They'll just get too distracted, get hurt, maybe even killed. So. Keep it silent please. Thanks for saving my mind."

"Of course, I am a medic nin, I'll heal whatever I must whenever I must, no matter the person, yeah?" she smiled before her face fell into that of a warning expression, "We will respect your wishes. But don't think so hard about this that you get distracted yourself."

I just nodded and stood from where I was sitting to walk down the stairs and back to my place by the sensory sphere.

I've lost half of my identity.

At least I won't lose any more of it.

"Guys... Naruto just left the underground island," I announced as I watched a massive ball of orange chakra leave the underground island and travel across the top.

"Naruto!" Tsunade dragged his name out really long and she sounded really angry.

"I can confirm that. We just got word from the squad watching him," Inoichi announced. This just enraged Tsunade even more.

"Calm down, Lady Tsunade!" I called up, "he'll be fine. I'm certain of it. Remember, he still has to become Hokage."

She calmed. But she still seemed annoyed.

"Killer B has left the underground island!" I called out.

"B!" the Raikage shouted, slamming his fist on the desk.

"We have to use brute force to stop Naruto," Tsunade spoke, "is the barrier core ready?"

"It's a 36-layer, self regenerating barrier that even a jinchuriki can't get past," the Raikage's attendant informed Tsunade, "so please rest assured."

"Oh I don't know, Naruto is pretty stubborn. He'll tear himself apart if he has to," I told them.

"I agree," Tsunade hissed.

"The barrier isn't regenerating fast enough against Naruto and Killer B's combined attacks," I announced.

"They're attacking together?!" Both Tsunade and the Raikage shouted in unison. I nodded as I watched the last of the barrier give up and the two jinchuriki escaped from the island.

"They're out of the island," I announced.

"Damn it!" Tsunade cursed, now her fist was being slammed off the table.
