A month later_

For the past month, I'd been stuck in bed. On occasion, I was let out to go on short walks, emphasis on short. But now, finally, I'm going somewhere else. I mean—it's school, no one wants to go to school but honestly, I need a change of scenery and it'll be nice to see my friends again. After all, it's been a while since I'd seen them.

As soon as I walked into the building, I was bombarded with questions from classmates, acquaintances and then some people I didn't even recognise? It truly was, as Shikamaru would say, a pain. So I ended up leaving and skipping the school day. I'll try again tomorrow.

I was walking the streets of my hometown when I noticed a guy with bright blue hair playing the violin.

What's with this guy?

"You want a go?" he asked, stretching his arm out and offering the violin to me. It's been a while... I guess it couldn't hurt. I smiled and nodded.

"Careful, the strings and the bow are delicate," he told me. I just smiled to myself because he has no idea how much I knew that.

Placing the violin on my shoulder and chin on the rest, I raise the bow and start playing (your favourite violin piece). It didn't take long but people in the street stopped to listen to me, and snap a few photos and videos, the guy who was preforming before me was watching with mild surprise.

Guess he wasn't expecting an experienced violinist to come across his path today. Well, I wouldn't call myself experienced, my mother just had me learn it when I was a kid.

When I finished playing I thanked him, and he smiled before asking to perform with me.

"I don't have a violin," I told him, giving him a confused look.

"Wait, come with me," he packed his stuff up and led me to a music shop that was perfectly placed not too far away. This feels like a sign from the universe if I ever did see one.

"Charlie, can we borrow your violin?" he asked a guy who looked to be in his mid-20's with red floppy hair and a judgy gaze.

"Why should I trust my most prized possession in the hands of you, Ayato?" the guy named, Charlie, asked the guy next to me.

"This girl is so talented, and I wanted to play the violin with her," Ayato replied.

"How talented?" Charlie asked. Ayato pulled out his phone and then turned it towards him.

"Enough to be trending on twitter and YouTube right now. It's only been five minutes," he replied quickly, the guy behind the counter pulled his glasses down to the end of his nose in disbelief, as if to say his glasses weren't working correctly.

"Alright, but if she breaks it, then you're replacing it, Ayato," Charlie told him before disappearing in the back and then coming back with a dark purple violin case. He opened it and passed me the violin. It was beautiful. A white body with leaves and vines swirling around the whole thing.

"Alright, kid, follow me," Ayato tells me. I follow him to the centre of the shop. He asked someone to hold his phone and record us before pausing and asking me if I was ok being filmed, I just gave him a nod and he turned back to the person he'd asked who agreed.

"Do you know Bach's Concerto for 2 Violins in D Minor?" he asked.

"Yes, it's the upbeat beginning, no?" I asked. He nodded.

"Oh before we start, what's your name?" he asked.

"Y/n," I replied.

"Nice to meet you, y/n, I'm Ayato. I'll play part 2. You play part 1," he told me before nodding at the guy with his phone. The sound of his phone starting to record echoed in the room that now had somehow turned into a kind of mini concert as the people in the store turned their attentions to us, watching us as we got ready to play. Clearly curious.

I raised the bow after positioning myself properly and then started playing. Ayato joining in a bit after.

Once we finished playing, the store echoed with a small applause from the shoppers as I returned the violin back to Charlie carefully, not really wanting to damage it and cause this Ayato guy to have to pay for it. I doubt it's a cheap violin just by looking at it. Charlie was watching, shocked.

"Thank you for letting me borrow your violin," I thanked him and then thanked Ayato before leaving to go home but then turned back as I pulled my card out of my bag.

"Excuse me, I'd like to buy a violin," I announced, Charlie turned back to me and nodded before leading me to the violins. We both seemed to stand in silence as we looked over the violins. It's been a while since I've had a violin, I don't even know what to look for anymore. Charlie reached forward and pulled a f/c violin off the display.

"You should get this one. It seems to suit you well," he passed me it with a bow, "give it a go."

I play a little bit of the song I just played and for the first time since I'd returned from Sunagakure to this world, I felt whole. Complete even. It felt perfect.

"I'll get it," I told him. He nodded and we went to the counter. I paid and he disappeared into the back before coming back with a f/c case and placed my violin in.

"This is on me. You played such beautiful music and surprised me, so I'll give you this for free," he told me before sending me off with a cheerful wave. I waved back gratefully and then ran home.

Ok—fuck school. Really, just I don't care about it.

It's time to try return to Sunagakure. It's time to return to the world of Naruto.

Or... try to at least. I hope this works again.

When I got home, I threw myself up the stairs and to my bedroom. I shut the door behind me, threw my curtains shut and then grabbed the bracelet from my bedside table. I just stared at it for a moment. I want to go back. I want to go back to Sunagakure. I don't care if it was just a coma induced dream or not, I want to go back. I want to go back to the world that somehow felt more real to me than this one ever has.

I went to put it on before pausing as I looked at the photo of me, Father, and Mother that was sat on the table staring back at me. For a moment I was hesitant but then I shook my head and pulled the bracelet on before lying down on my bed again, getting myself comfortable and making sure I didn't let go of the violin case.

Please.

Take me back.

I miss them.

I miss Kankuro, Temari, and Gaara.

Seeing them in person is different to seeing them on screen!

Take me back!

Please—!
