I was just sat listening.
Eyes closed.
Not really caring anymore.
I wonder... after this will me and Gaara trust each other just a little more?
I wonder how he'll react if I die here, and he is successfully resurrected as he was in the show. Will he pity me? Feel bad? Guilty maybe? Who knows...
Hm? What's that? Someone's running towards me?
Is it Sakura?
I slowly opened one eye to see kunai hit Sasori as Sakura got closer to me.
"You leave me with no choice. How would you and that little girl like to become part of my collection, hm, grandmother?" Sasori asked as Sakura skidded to the ground in front of me.
"Don't be dead, don't be dead," she mumbled over and over until I opened my eyes fully. She smiled a smile of relief and pulled out a syringe with some kind of liquid in. Isn't that—
She grabbed my arm and injected it in my vein. I winced. I felt pain burst straight throughout my body, I fought to let out a scream, not really wanting Sasori to see that even the antidote to his damn poison hurt me.
The pain must be a good sign right? That the antidote is working?
But why does it hurt worse than the poison had?!
After she had overseen my clear reaction to the antidote, she stood again, told me to stay put and then returned to Lady Chiyo's side. As if I was moving anywhere with fire burning through my veins like this. They all spoke between the three of them, but my ears were ringing, and my eyes were blurring. Side effect of the antidote? Maybe... or well, my body was already like this anyway so it's a good chance this is just the poisons effect.
Considering I couldn't see or hear out of my real body properly I decided to use the extra chakra I'd gathered from destroying the rings and found my little plant soldier. I put transformation on it and listened and watched through it.
"Rock Lee," I saw him fighting himself.
"F/n l/n! You are here too?" he asked, I shook my head.
"No, I am forcing myself here with the last of my chakra through the little plant soldier that seemed to have decided to follow you," I explained as I jumped into a tree and watched Lee fight his mirror image of an enemy. I'd forgotten this had happened in the show. Interesting.
"Do you have any pointers?" he asked, "this thing is a worthy opponent, but I am starting to get tired."
I start, trying to remember the episode, there must be something right? But it was so long ago all I can really remember is Gaara dying and being resurrected at the cost of the old lady's life. I sighed as I watched Lee fight, clearly tiring while his copy seemed to stay the same. After a while of thinking it hit me.
"I got it!" I exclaimed before feeling my chakra pulling me away, Lee looked at me expectantly, "sorry Lee, I have to go, but just be a better version of yourself! I know it doesn't make any sense but I'm sure you can figure it out! You have to be a better version of yourself!"
"Huh? What is that supposed to mean?" he asked slightly panicked as I was pulled back to the senses of my own body to see Lady Chiyo controlling Sakura like she was her puppet. The fight progressed a lot faster than I thought it would. I guess when it's real life, the events are a lot faster than you'd initially think it would be.
I know what will happen next, so I think I'm just—my head swayed heavily to the side as I tried to fight my eyes from shutting—I think I'll just go to... sleep.

Being shook awake was not what I expected. It almost felt as though I'd simply only shut my eyes for two seconds and yet, I was being forced awake again. I slowly opened my eyes and squinted against the light of the space around me. Eventually, I managed to focus my sight again and found myself looking straight at Sakura's face. She was looking at me with a face filled with concern. I glanced around to find that the cave was no longer a cave but instead a shallow hole of rubble. The ground was shattered and there was a mess of fallen puppets all over the place.
Only beast like strength will have only pulled that cave down. It was definitely Sakura's doing.
She allowed a sigh of relief escape her lips as she watched me look at her.
"You beat Sasori?" I asked her slowly, my throat dry and scratchy. She nodded and smiled before grabbing one of my arms and slinging it around her neck, holding it there with one hand and grabbing my waist with her free hand. She was bruised and battered, exhausted beyond belief and yet she still had enough strength to hold me up sturdily.
"I'm glad you're still alive," she told me with a small smile, I returned it as she carried me through the area with Lady Chiyo by our sides, "I'm sure Temari and Kankuro will be too."
I stared at her for a moment before looking forward. Not if we don't bring Gaara back alive they won't.
"Are you ok?" I asked her, she just nodded.
"I'll survive."
"I see... Be sure to rest when you get to Sunagakure."
"I will, don't worry. But after I remove the poison in your body. It's still heavily spreading around, even with the antidote," she said, I nodded as Lady Chiyo almost fell off one of the oddly placed wooden logs in between two walls of rock. Sakura dropped me as she grabbed the old lady. I barely managed to catch myself at the sudden loss of support.
"Sakura, support Lady Chiyo, I have enough strength to move alone for a while," I told her. I barely have enough strength but the old lady needs help more than me. She didn't protest and just pulled Lady Chiyo up, supporting her.
We started jumping, the old lady and girl both discussing things as we jumped through. I didn't concentrate on their conversation because every time I moved was just another chance to slip and add to the time eating at my life. It took me so much effort to keep my legs not only standing but moving. I feel like I'm under water with clothes and weights on. So slow...
"How long will this antidote keep up?" I asked, starting to feel dizzier by the moment.
"I'm sorry, this one only lasted 3 minutes. Is the poison effecting you again?" she replied as I stopped to gather my head a bit more.
"I'll live for now," I told her quickly before starting to move again. It shouldn't be long before we meet with the others. Though, at this pace, it's just making me get tired quicker because it's giving me time to actually lose my energy.
After a while we finally reached where Naruto and Kakashi were. As soon as we stopped I collapsed to the ground.
Naruto was sat breathing heavily, glaring at the ground while Kakashi was supporting his back with one hand, obviously concealing something.
The nine tailed fox's cloak had escaped. So that means...
My eyes scanned the treetops, Naruto's shadow clones were dotted around until my eyes finally landed on two on one branch with Gaara in their hold.
"Gaara..." I whispered, as I looked upat the sight.
