Temari's PoV

We reached the room that my brother was in and I reached my brothers side as Sakura started looking him over just as one of the people in the room started sprinting at Kakashi. Hold on—aren't they the siblings? Lady Chiyo and Lord Ebizo? To think they're here—!

"Damn you!" Lady Chiyo yelled in midair, "get ready to defend yourself or die!"

Naruto caught her quickly with his shadow clones, they didn't fight for long before Lord Ebizo had calmed the older woman down. It was a moment of confusion but quickly concluded that the man Lady Chiyo thought she was fighting, the White Fang of the leaf village, was not Kakashi but rather just another nin with a striking resemblance to him. We were all baffled until Kankuro began to writhe in pain. It hurt to watch him as Sakura quickly tied back her hair.

"Let me take a look at him," she said quickly, "listen, it might help if you all clear out and give us some room."

No one argued, everyone quickly cleared out and Sakura began to look him over while I just stood and watched from the end of the table and the sand medic nins lined the walls of the room.

"What are you--who are you?" one of our medical nins asked. Sakura just looked at them.

"I'm a leaf village medical ninja," she answered them before continuing with her examination.

"We're definitely dealing with a heavy metal-based toxin," she says as she listens to his heart beat through his chest, "a kind that attacks muscle tissue, destroying the cells integrity."

"You were able to learn all that..." one of the medical nins started.

"... In one look?" the other finished as they looked at each other in surprise.

"may I see his chart?" Sakura asked. I zoned out of the conversation as I glanced around. Y/n isn't here, my brother is dying on a table, my other brother was kidnapped, all of this happened while I was just taking my time in the leaf village. I should've been here.

"The cardiac muscle will be weakened to the point where the heart will collapse and cease functioning all together. It's doubtful that we'll be able to come up with an antidote on time," she stated, I couldn't help but feel my frustration deepen as I listened to her talk. Doesn't this mean my brother will die?

"What're you saying? There's nothing you can do?" I asked, taking a staggering step forward. Please don't let Kankuro die. Please.

She turned to me for a moment before looking to the medic nins ahead of her.

"I'm going to need a few things and I'm going to need them quickly," she says determined. The medical ninja both say right and start helping her out, "this is going to be pretty crude but it's the only option we have."

Your PoV

I regained consciousness again and felt that I finally had a bit more strength and chakra after being unconscious long enough to let it restore although... My body. It hurt. A lot. I looked up to see Gaara was in the blue chakra bubble. A sealing jutsu... my pain is nothing compared to what he must be feeling right now. I need to try do something. The Akatsuki around me were too focused on sealing Gaara that they didn't notice my awakening. Knowing that, I jumped up and ran across the hand to jump, just before I managed to reach the bubble, some metallic thing wrapped around my leg and yanked me down with such force that the small rocks below seemed more like knives that dug into my back as I landed.
