Lawyer at 4 and really
wanted me to come for
support. Could you be her

technicalities today she just

No. Tomorrow is Ember's
Birthday. I got in touch with
her best friend and she's
coming down for the weekend
to surprise Emmie.

important, Ash. Don't

I turn off my phone and sigh, glad Cal can help me out. I need to pick up Haylee, Ember needs her right now. She's been a mess over the last week figuring out lawyers and things for the hearing. When she called this morning to say they had planned the first meeting with her lawyer today I was crushed. The one time I couldn't make it. My phone buzzes again and I pick it up.

Ember's POV
"Ember! Hey, Em." I'm startled slightly until I look up from pulling Pai out of the car.
"Calum?" I smile as he jogs over to me, "What are you doing here?"
"Ashton felt bad he couldn't come with you. He asked all of us if someone could come and support you today. I offered." He shrugs softly.
"Thank you so much." I reach up and hug him.
"We are all on your side, Em. We got this." He chuckles hugging me back.
"Squish!" Paislee whines from between us.
