CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

CASSANDRA'S POV

"You knew?" i asked shocked

Ofcourse she knew! Damn. How could I not think of that? She had this power to know everything. Syempre may background check siya sa mga tauhan niya! I'm so stupid.

I'm at her office. Rein is waiting outside. She's sitting on her chair looking calm, powerful and intimidating.

"I think we could use him over his mother." I suggested

I know pag nagkita ulit sila, Magenta will be distracted and we'll use that time to save my Dad at mahuli siya.

"Magenta used him to get what she wants when he was a teenager." she took a sip from her glass of wine "Your suggestion sounded like we'll be doing what she did. Parang wala na tayong pinagkaiba sakanya."

She has a point. Remembering what Rein told me earlier. He was pushed to seduce or flirt with the high-soc ladies para perahan. He was supposed to enjoy his teenage years pero sinira iyon ng sarili niyang nanay.

"What's your plan?"

She stood up and leaned on her glass desk. "Call Rein." she commanded. I quickly turned my heels to the door and found Rein sitting on the floor with his hands on his face. He's nervous, I think. He thinks that she betrayed Zachi and he can't take it.

He stood up and breathed deeply. "Galit ba siya?" he asked

"She'll never be mad at you." I grinned atbthe thought that theyblike each other but they're just holding back. Sounds really familiar to me.

Pumasok si Gray sa office. Nauna na siyang maglakad at sumunod ako matapos isara ang pinto. Naabutan kong nakatingin si Zachi sa floor to ceiling na glass, tanaw ang buong ciudad.

"I'm sorry, Queen." then Gray dropped on his knees but Zachi didn't even looked at him. She knows that he's kneeling on the floor begging for forgiveness but she doesn't make a move or something.

Katahimikan ang bumalot sa paligid. Hapon na at malapit nang lumubog ang araw. Nakatingin lang si Zachi sa labas.

"We need your help Rein. But it's still up to you if you want to." finally nagsalita na si Zachi.

I get it. Hindi namin siya gagamitin. Tutulungan niya kami voluntarily. Yung hindi labag sa kalooban niya.

"Anything for you." he said. His head facing the floor.

"Magkakaharp ulit kayo. Makikita mo ulit siya."

"Alam ko. If this is the only way to stop her. I will." he said with full of sincerity in his voice. Hindi ko na mabakas sakanya ngayon yung mapang-asar ang overconfident na Gray na nakilala ko.

"You're also saving her. Saving her from all of this." she turned her head to Rein. And stretched out her right hand. Rein claimed it and stood up.

"I knew what happened earlier. May nakakita ba sayo?"

"Sa tingin ko wala. Sinigurado ko ring walang makikitang ebidensya doin."

They were talking about the incident happened earlier. Where that guy was pointing his gun to me and Daniel.

"Sandra."

"Bakit?" I asked

She turned and faced me. Her eyes straightly looking at me. "Break up with him."

I curled my long brown hair and applied some makeup to put some color on my face. My skin is so pale.

Break ups are not only for those who have relationships. I know what she meant. That I have to end whatever it is between us.

Does that mean I have to stop loving him too? I breathed deeply. I'm still thinking how to start the conversation.
