CHAPTER THIRTY SIX

CASSANDRA'S POV

He followed me kaya naman binilisan ko ang lakad ko at dumerecho sa kotse.

"Ano nangyari, Cassy? Okay na ba siya?" Charlie worriedly asked as soon as I opened the door on the passenger's seat.

He went out of the bar. Palingong lingon. Searching for me. He's crying again pero sana yung pagkikita naming to, maging maayos siya. I saw how devastated he was. Just like how I am. We need each other. It's like I can't breathe without him.

Nakasunod na din agad sila Francis sa kanya. Hinawakan nila Henry at Francis ang magkabilang braso niya nang ma-out-of-balance siya. He passed out. He's super drunk.

"I don't know. I hope so." I answered

Pinaandar na niya ang sasakyan at nagsimula nang magdrive palayo sa lugar.

"Eh ikaw? Kamusta ka?" He asked

Kahit papano gumaan ang pakiramdam ko nung makita ko siya. Sana nagets niya na hindi pa tapos ang saming dalawa.

"Tama nga si Anj, babagay sayo yang puti. Akala ko magmumukha kang manang eh! Hahahaha!"

I rolled my eyes at him. It's really helpful that Charlie is here. Someone who knows how to lighten up the situation.

Anj decolorized my hair and gave me this dress for disguise and I have to do that slutty act. Tss. and Zachi suggested that we I can meet him at Tuners. She owns the bar so it's the safest place for us.We have to be careful lalo na't maraming mata ang nakaabang samin.

"Are you ready?" he asked in low tone

"Yes." I looked outside the tinted window. It started raining heavily.

Yes. I'm ready to face that witch. I want this fucking game of hers to end.

"May plano na nga pala sila Queen." he said dryly

She's more focused now and more confident. Kaya malakas rin ang paniniwala ko that it'll now be easy to defeat the opponent and get Mom.

"What is the plan? Sinabi ba sayo?" I asked still looking at the rain pouring outside.

He didn't answered. Hinayaan ko nalang siya.

I noticed he didn't turned left. Nalagpasan namin yung way papunta sa isang bahay ni Zachi malapit sa bar. He's still driving straight.

"Charlie, I think nalag--FUCK CHARLIE!"

tinanggal ko agad ang seatbelt ko at hinawakan ang manibela. Shit! He's sleeping! Bakit siya natulog?! Damn it! Kung alam ko lang na inaantok siya, ako nalang sana nagdrive!

We're lucky wala kami sa highway. Nasa isang daan kami na sa palibot ay puro puno. Tago kasi ang bahay na pupuntahan namin.

I immediately stepped on the brake and the car stopped. That was close. I slumped on my seat.

"I'm gonna beat the hell out of you when you wake up." I said irritated.

I climbed out of the car, letting the rain pour on my head. I walked to the other side of the car and opened it.

"Damn you, Charlie. You almost killed the both of us."

He's peacefully sleeping. I don't want to be stuck in the middle of this road so I pushed him to the driver's seat.

I felt chill all over my body at the same time felt nervous. Is it only because of the cold rain?

I scanned the area. Wala namang tao.

Ignoring the strange feeling, I climbed in to the car and started the engine.

"Cassy! Sorry naaaaa." he pleaded

"Whatever Charlie."

"Hindi ko naman sinasadyang makatulog e. Hindi ko alam. Basta. Sorrryyyy."

Nagtataka ako. Hindi niya daw namalayan na inaantok na siya tapos nalaman nalang niya na nakatulog na pala siya.

"Anong pinagaawayan niyo jan?" Dad asked when he entered the house.

"San ka galing?" I asked

"Outside. I just need some fresh air." he worriedly said

Nasasakal narin ako sa nangyayari samin. Ayoko na rin ng ganito. Gusto ko na matapos to.

"Halos mamatay ako sa pag-aalala nung papunta kayo ni Zachi doon." he said. He's been telling me how much he loves me and how much he cares since we left the place where we met Max.

"I'm still alive, Dad."

"My princess." he hugged me one more time

I released myself from his arms and looked at him directly.

"Dad, tapusin na natin to."

He frowned.

"You're not coming with us."

Sabi na nga ba hindi siya papayag.

"You know me, Dad. Hindi ako marunong makinig."

"No. That's final."

"The three of us will go there-----"

"Only the two of you." Zachi interrupted as she went down the stairs. Her right arm was covered with bandage.

"Two of us?" Dad asked again

Kasama ako. I noticed she became more focused and confident than before.

"We've always been stressing, exhausting ourselves. Enough of those. This is a game right?" she paused flashing a wicked grin. "So why don't we enjoy it instead?"
