After spending most of the day at the mall with my mom I was feeling pretty good about the haul we got. I got quite a few outfits and some really cute shoes. I couldn't wait to get home and take the makeup off though. I've been trying to come up with excuses all day to get out of going to this game tonight. I told my mom everything that happened last night. I may have left out a few details about the beer I dared Blaise to chug. Her face was priceless when I told her that I kissed Trevor. I don't think this is exactly what she had in mind when she told me that I needed to go out more and socialize. I told her about the baseball game tonight and how I really didn't want to go.
Grayson's dad called and said he was sick and asking for mom, so we went to pick him up.
"Riv, I think you should go to the game, I don't need you both getting sick."
"Fine, I'll go to the stupid game. Can you ask Hunter if I can ride with him?"
" I already did." She said smiling. "They are ready to go but we have to stop and get your brother some medicine first."
I turned around in my seat to peek at Grayson, he looked terrible. Poor little dude.
Mom stopped at the drug store by our house and ran in. While we were waiting in the car I took the time to check my makeup in the visor mirror. I won't have time to take it off before the game now. I hate makeup, but the girl at MAC really did some magic on me. I just don't know if i'd ever be able to recreate this look on my own.
"You look like a princess sissy."
"Aww thanks buddy, how are you feeling? You fell asleep as soon as mom buckled you in."
"My tummy hurts."
" I know buddy, but mommy is getting you some feel good medicine and you will be right as rain really soon."
Grayson shook his head and closed his eyes again, falling back asleep. I hate seeing him like this.
When we got home I ran into the house to change my outfit to one of the new ones I bought.
I put on a pair of skinny jeans, brown sandals and a floral top. I grabbed Trevors hoodie and ran down the stairs. I yelled bye to my mom and headed out the door.
Blaise and Hunter weren't out front yet but the engine in Hunters truck was started, so I sit on my front steps and waited. I could't wait to give this hoodie back to Trevor. It smelled amazing but I don't want him to get the wrong idea about us. Just then a breeze blew and I was suddenly more aware of how much the temperature had dropped in the last few hours. I decided to put the hoodie on to stay warm.
After another minute or so Hunter and Blaise came out of their front door. Blaise looked over at me, shook his head at the ground and threw his baseball bag on the passenger floorboard.
I climbed in the middle seat of the truck next to Hunter and tried to make room for Blaise. This is the closest I've ever been to him before. We were sandwiched in the front seat so our legs were touching. At first he moved his leg away but then he moved it back and adjusted himself in his seat, putting his arm up on the headrest behind me. I looked up at him wondering if he was just trying to get comfortable because there wasn't much room or if he was making a move.
Hunter laughed and backed the truck out of the driveway.
"So how's the patient?" Hunter asked.
"Grayson? He's pretty sick, he could barely stay awake on the the ride home. Mom stopped and got him some medicine though so hopefully he will be okay by the morning".
