Chapter 26- Blaise

As soon as I was outside I sent a text to Trevor telling him to call me. I sat down on my front porch and waited for his call.

I would say that I was surprised by River's decision to end everything but I wasn't, honestly I'm surprised she let it get as far as it did.

I guess I was just hoping that her feelings were strong enough to push through this mess with Sarah and Trevor. I can't even be mad at her for any of this because the whole situation was so messed up. Two best friends both show an interest in her at the same time and then my ex from hell threatening her every chance she gets, It's a lot to take on at one time.

Finally my phone rang.

"Hey man, everything okay?"

"No, we have a problem. River just broke up with both of us."

"What? What do you mean?"

"It seems your boy Elijah has been filling her head with shit. He told her that she should stop seeing both of us so that she won't have to hurt one of us later. But it turns out it was all bullshit because he just wants us out of the picture because now he's after her."

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

"No. She was in tears and then told me that we have to end this now before anyone gets in too deep. Then she said she needed space."

"I'm going to fucking kill him, I can't believe she fed into that."

"Trevor, this is our fault."

"Like hell it is!"

"It is. With both of us pursuing her at the same time and Sarah's dumb ass coming around making threats. Then you bring this asshole into the picture, Its too much."

"I'm coming home. First we are going to kick this guys ass and then we take care of Sarah. the rest we figure out later."

"Trevor I don't think she can handle anymore drama, she's an emotional mess right now. I think that we all just need to leave her alone and let her have her space."

"How long have you known me Blaise?"

I sighed. "Long enough to know that you will be home tomorrow."

"You're damn right, I'll see you then." He ended the call.

Shit. I immediately regret texting him. Him coming home early is going to cause more problems, Especially for River.

I sent a text to James.

Hey, do me a favor?

James: What's up?

Can you call Amberlee and tell her to let Lennox know that River needs them.

James: Everything okay?

No, Not at all. She just ended things with me and Trevor.

James: Why!?

Long story. Come over and I will fill you in.

James: I'll call Amberlee now.

I stayed outside and waited for James to come over, It only took 15 minutes for him to show up with Amberlee and Lennox both in the car. As soon as he put the car in park Lennox jumped out and marched straight up to me.

"What the hell did you do Blaise?!"

"Nothing!"

I told them about Elijah's phone call and everything River said.

"What the hell did you boneheads think was going to happen?" Lennox asked. " I knew it would come to this sooner or later."

"It's about to get worse, Trevor will be home tomorrow."
