Chapter 8- Blaise

I watched as Trevors SUV pulled up in front of Rivers house. Why aren't they getting out? I swear to god he better not be trying to hook up with her. Finally Trevors door opens and he walks around to open River's Door. Since when does Trevor open doors for girls? I've been with him when he picks up a girl and he usually just honks the horn. Are they holding hands? This can not be happening. Now selfies?

What the heck happened on that date? I stepped away from the window before I punched something, I don't want to see anymore.

I hit resume on my video game and tried to take my mind off of the hand holding and selfies.
Then I got a text message from James:

James: You okay dude?

Yeah, my nose still hurts a little but i'll survive.

James: Have you checked your Instagram feed lately?

No why?

James: Don't.

Obviously now i'm going to because my interest is peaked.

And there it is, the nail in the coffin, Trevor posted a picture of River and him kissing.
I kept scrolling and I see the picture I watched Trevor take of the two of them together but River posted this one.

Well, that's that then, I guess it's only a matter of time before they both change their relationship status. This is unbelievable. Two days ago I had a plan, I was going to get to know River and tell her how I feel, now I have to watch her be with Trevor. Why the hell didn't I just tell him I was into her when he asked me?

I Really didn't think River would ever fall for a guy like Trevor. Sure he's ridiculously rich and girls are always trying to get with him, but his relationships never last long because he gets bored and then he's on to the next one. If he hurts River i'll kick his ass, friend or not.

I got another text message, this time from Trevor.

Trevor: Hey. Feel like going to the batting cages tomorrow?

Is James coming?

Trevor:Nah. Just you and me , we need to talk.

Everything cool?

Trevor: Guess we will find out tomorrow. I'll pick you up a 5.

Ok.

Well this is going to be a fun chat, this is the worst night ever.

I checked my Instagram one last time. There were already hundreds of comments on the picture of them kissing . Most of them are just people wondering who Trevor's new mystery girl is. Some were from jealous girls and were actually pretty mean.

River has no idea what she's getting into, I hope she doesn't read these. There are so many pissed off girls that are going to try to take her down and then there will be the fake ones who pretend to be her friend. I hope Trevor prepared her for this.

The next day Trevor showed up at five on the dot and texted me that he was out front.

I climbed into the front seat of his new SUV.

"Hey man." Trevor said not looking up from his phone, he was busy texting someone.

"Hey."

Suddenly River was at my window.

"Hey guys!" River said leaning into my open window.

God her hair smells good.

"Hey Beautiful." Trevor said leaning forward.
