Trevor showed up at 10 am sharp. Despite my begging, he refused to stop at Starbucks so I could get some coffee and something to eat, he said I needed a real breakfast. He texted someone and said I could get something to eat at his house.

When we got there his mom had fruit, eggs and coffee waiting. She came home early this morning to ease my mother's mind.

"River! How have you been dear?"

"I've been great. Thank you so much for this, I am starving!"

"Oh it's no problem honey, we love having you here. So, Trevor tells me you guys are going to be in the gym working out."

"Gym? You have a gym in your house?"

She laughed, "I see someone hasn't given you the full tour."

"Not yet."

" I'll take her on a tour after she's done training, if she can still walk by then." He said laughing.

"Trevor, you better take it easy on her! Don't let her hurt herself, her mother will never let her come back over."

"I've got this. By the time I'm done with her not only will she be able to defend herself , she will be feared."

"Defend herself? From what?" She asked concerned.

"There's a girl who pretty much hates me for absolutely no reason at all, she keeps threatening me."

She looked at Trevor "Is this one of your little exes?
Trevor I told you these little girls can be petty!"

"Not mine mom,  she's Blaises' ex."

"Oh. But why would his ex have a problem with River if she's with you?"

" Mom..."

"Oh I um... we're not.... I mean... Trevor and I aren't..."

"Blaise likes her too, she's not sure which one us she wants." Trevor says nonchalantly.

"Trevor!" I said covering my face with my hands.

"What? It's the truth ,Isn't it?"

"Oh my. Well that certainly does complicate things."
Bianca looked at Trevor sympathetically.

"You ready Riv?"

I gave Trevor a dirty look." Yeah, suddenly I feel like hitting something... hard."

Bianca laughed.

"Holy shit!" I said when Trevor opened the door to the gym, it was huge! It had every piece of workout equipment there is. There was even a tanning bed, I was most definitely getting in there!

Trevor had me stretch for 10 minutes and then the training began. He had me do squats, lunges and then he brought out the punching bag.

The first couple of times I hit the bag I was a little embarrassed, I did hit like a girl.

Trevor told me to pull my hair up and then he stood behind the bag. "Picture the bag as the target of all of your anger and pain. Channel all of your frustration and negative energy and use it to fuel your punches. The harder you hit the bag the better you will feel, I promise."

I thought about Sarah and her threats, about the girl at the grocery store who made me feel invisible while she flirted with Trevor right in front of me. I thought about the fact that there was plenty of times that Blaise could have told me how he felt but didn't. I thought about the guy who broke my mothers heart. I thought about Trevor's father forcing him to bottle up his emotions. I punched and kicked the bag until I fell to the ground completely exhausted.
