Day Before Sean's Funeral

Dave

"How about these flowers?" walking over to me, my moms was adding a few touches for a gathering I decided to have at the house for Sean's family and everyone else close to me including Gina. Yes, he might've treated her like shit, but for the next two days, I'm putting all that mess behind me.

"Yeah mom, that's good," she began to show me white roses before I began taking some food from out of the oven and finish setting up the table. Of course some of the guys like Kentrell and Peanut came to help around the house and do little things.

Footsteps began to rush down the steps and it was no one other than my little angel either coming to ask me a question, wanting food, or being nosy. Running up to me, I quickly picked her up swinging her around and attacking her with kisses. I swear I love her to death.

"What you want pumpkin? Ready to get dressed for our guests?" noticing her messy hair made me chuckle due to the fact that she is a wild sleeper as she tosses and turns. As she nodded her head, we made our way upstairs to her pink and purple room and she opened up her closet to look at all of her clothes. I sat back down on her bed to watch her slowly pick out her outfit.

For the funeral, I decided to make everyone wear white, but tonight, I told everyone to dress pretty casual if they wanted to. I mean, you know I'm gon go crazy and flashy, but that's just me. After waiting ten minutes, Kairi decided to wear a yellow Nike shirt, black leggings, and her black tutu. Ask me why she chose this crazy outfit, I couldn't tell you.

Following her to the bathroom, I gave her a quick shower and dried her off before helping her to put on her clothes. When it came to her hair, she told me to put half of it in a bun and curl the rest of it.

Luckily, Parker taught me how to use a curl wand cause my ass would've been clueless.

As the time moved faster than ever, I hurried to get dressed and take a shower. I didn't like for guests to be arriving when I ain't ready, but my mama told me to go ahead and get ready as she handles the guests. Plus, a few of my cousins and aunties came around to help my moms. Once I was in the shower, steam began to fill throughout the the bathroom.

"Girl if you don't hurry up, carrying this big ass pan of stuffed shells ain't gon cut it," rolling my eyes after Gina had me a bit annoyed. She nearly took three hours to get ready and I wasn't having it. Plus, I had to drive since she wanted to apply makeup in the car. Her breaks on her vehicle was sensitive and when we would approach a light, I would press down took harsh.

"I'm coming, geez," holding up a brown box up to the door and the handle of Miracle's car seat, she struggled to use her free hand to ring the doorbell. I couldn't believe after weeks of not being with Dave, I'd be showing back up at the house we built together. It just doesn't even feel like home. Gina forced me to come and honestly, if it were up to me I wouldn't be going.

Opening up the door, it was no one other than Kairi screaming happily once she saw me and wrapped her little tiny hands around my legs, "Parker! Hi Auntie G," she squealed as we stepped inside the house and heads peeped from around the kitchen. As I said hi back to Kairi, Gina and I stepped aside to make our way to the kitchen to greet everyone.

Surprisingly, he kept everything the same in the house which was surprising. I would've guess he'd take down everything, but not yet. Seeing Mama Faye and a few familiar faces from a few gatherings, I waved at everyone before individually giving them hugs.

"Girl, how you holding up?" speaking lowly, Mama Faye looked over at me and touched my shoulder.

I gave her a soft smile, "I'm feeling pretty good. Work has become my life and if not that then I'm with Gina helping her out with Miracle. Are we going to the funeral home after this?" I questioned.
