Episode 45: P o t i o n

All I saw was blue.

A large burst of flame. Then a person flying across the bar counter, destroying a line of bottles in a second.

"No! Jungkook!" I screamed, running towards his blue flame.

"So just GET BACK!" From just one look at his wild and mad eyes, I knew that if I stepped any closer then Jungkook wouldn't be able to distinguish me from the enemy.

"You have to relax!" I called out to him.

"Relax?" He growled, morphing more into his demonic form by the second. "You expect me to relax when the person who killed Solji is right in front of my eyes?!"

I looked at the familiar sight of Hongbin's face, which was now soiled in blood. How the hell is this guy alive again? The last time I saw his face it was rolling across my feet.

"Bastard!" Hongbin got up, black flames encircling his fists as he punched the air towards Jungkook. They shot out like a whip. Jungkook quickly dodged the attack, and instead, the floors of the club took the direct hit sparking a line of flame.

Demons proceeded to scream and run out, some were too intoxicated to care, and others stayed to watch, thrilled.

In fact, I even had fans who recognized me from all the "eventful" situations I always get myself tied up with at this club.

"I'm going to tear you limb from limb!" Jungkook roared, his horns painfully cracking out of his skull as his mouth salivated with thick drool. His bulging blue eyes were focused on his target.

Oh man. This really had to stop now before it got any worse.

"Stop it!" I yelled as soon as Jungkook leaped at his cousin. It was as if the training room had appeared in front of my eyes. I remembered what I learned with V and somehow I managed to stand in between the two, holding away Jungkook's energy rod inches away from Hongbin's wide eyes.

"Don't interfere!" Jungkook forcefully pulled back his energy rod. My hand felt the heat slice into my palms and before I could react, Jungkook was ready to throw the rod at us any second.

"I knew you couldn't handle it."

Spoiler. The rod didn't pierce me.

However, if it hadn't been for Namjoon and Jin who appeared out of nowhere, I wouldn't have been alive.

Jin tackled Hongbin against the bar counter and Namjoon detoured Jungkook's rod into a wall on the opposite end of the club. He pounded his palm into Jungkook's chest and had the boy flat on the floor, unconscious.

"Are you okay?" Namjoon glanced back at me. I stood up, feeling the guilt hit my chest. I was responsible for bringing Jungkook along and then this happens. How was I supposed to face him?

"I'm sorry."

"It isn't your fault. I knew he wouldn't be able to control himself no matter what he believed in. He's still too immature to handle his power."

"But if it weren't for me, he wouldn't have had to--"

"This will be a lesson for him when he comes to. Enough of that, did you get what you needed?" Namjoon asked.

"Yeah. Surprisingly, it wasn't so hard." I pulled out the flask. He nodded at it but his eyes glowered at Hongbin behind me. Jin had him pinned down to the bar counter with pink energy rods hammering his limbs down.

"Let go of me! I won't stand for this!" Hongbin whined.

"What happened now?!" Jin yelled. "How many times do I have to renew my club's interior!"
