Episode 19: L u c i f e r 's
I ran over to the pink door, furiously knocking and secretly praying that someone was still there.
Fortunately, Jin swung the door open. "What brought you here beautiful?" He grinned. I never really thought about how I felt about Jin's presence being around me. But now, I was positively sure that he wasn't someone I wanted to be friends with. He was the type who seemed way too perverted and mysterious to trust.
"Where's the club Jimin and V went to?" I cut to the chase. He leaned against the door, looking me down with amusement. "Hurry! I don't have time. I have to get there."
"Well, why should I tell you? What's the benefit that will come out of it? V will probably find out that I told you about my club and kill me for it. They clearly don't want your pure soul clubbing in those sinful places darling. Take it as a favor." He grinned.
"Your club?" He was actually less careful than I assumed him to be.
"Oh, did I spill that out?" He covered his mouth and chuckled. "Yes, my club."
"Listen, Jin...Sera, she's going through a lot. She lost her mother and she sees scary things for someone so young. Please, I want to help her, tell me where it is. All I want to do is be sure she'll be okay."
He cocked his head, actually contemplating the thought.
"You want to know so badly?" He finally replied. I nodded. "It's called Lucifer's. Since I was just heading there, why don't I actually take you with me?" I watched as he opened the door and walked into his room.
"Where is it?" I walked in cautiously.
"It's a little far from here, but we could take a shortcut." He stopped in front of a red curtain to the side of his room, holding the end with his long slender fingers. "After all, you're dealing with demons and when it comes to handy tricks, we own them. Ready?"
"Is that a portal?" I had contemplated jumping after V before just because I wasn't ready to risk hitting a solid ground and dying before I actually do something. That would be something for him to laugh about for a century.
"Yes. We all have our own portals. But if you use it alone I'm afraid you could either end up getting stuck in there or lost." Yup! I was thankful for being smart for once and not jumping after V. The bastard didn't even warn me. I mean, what if I was desperate enough to jump after him!
"What do you mean by getting stuck?"
"If you don't know the path out of somewhere you'll probably never leave and wander about forever, correct? This is the same thing but it's called the Realm of Limbo."
"Realm of Limbo?" I lifted my brow, but his stern eyes, despite his permanent smile that kind of made me uncomfortable, told me that he wouldn't allow himself to spill anymore.
"Well, that's enough chatter, why don't we get going now? It's impolite to keep a lady waiting. And I have a very important lady guest tonight." He held his hand out, "grab on and don't let go no matter what."
My fingers curled around his hands as they quickly closed around mine, his long talons curving over my skin. One second I watched him pull a curtain open to a wall of nothing and the next we both sank into that pool of nothing.
____
What does it feel like to travel through a portal you ask?
Whirlwinds, psychedelic colors, feeling your skin threaten to tear apart? Nah.
It felt like nothing.
I literally blinked and the scenery changed.
High pitched laughter, chatter, even some occasional moaning that I would rather not know where it came from was all heightened until I settled down and became familiar with my surroundings.
