Dahlia's POV
************

I stared at myself in the mirror, honestly feeling myself. I think I look pretty good. I'd taken the time to straighten my hair and do my makeup, a nice smokey eye, and a dark lip. My outfit is pretty simple but it's still really cute. A skin-tight black dress with an oversized dark denim jacket and chunky black sneakers.

I took about a hundred selfies and mirror pics before finally putting my phone in my purse and opening my door. I practically ran down the stairs, excitement coursing through my veins as I did. Parties aren't really my thing and I've honestly only been to one in my whole life, but I'm kinda happy I agreed to go. It's something different for me and who knows? I might just enjoy it.

Plus, Billie.

My phone buzzed and her name popped up on the screen. I grinned as I opened up her message.

Bilboa:
We're gonna have a lot of fun tonight, dude. See you soon.

We'd been texting on and off all day and it was just making me even more excited to see her.

"I'm gone!" I yelled quickly before opening the door and stepping outside. I jogged over to the twins' house and opened the back door of Caden's car, sliding in quickly.

"I was gonna drive over to your house." He chuckled, shaking his head at me.

"Well, now there's no need! Let's get this show on the road dude!"

"Somebody's eager to see their girlfriend." Cadence giggled.

I didn't bother replying. I couldn't deny I was excited to see Billie.

The drive to the party was a short one, filled with the sound of Caden and Cadence bickering over the music. When we pulled up to the large house, I could hear the loud music and smell the weed before we'd even opened the car doors. My excitement turned into nerves quickly, but it was too late to go back now.

"My phones gonna be on and in my hand all night. If either of you need anything, don't be afraid to call." Caden told us sternly. "And don't fucking go anywhere without telling me first."

"Okay, dad, can we go in now?" Cadence grumbled before hopping out of the car. Caden turned to me and narrowed his eyes at me.

"What?" I questioned.

"I'm not kidding, bro. You need anything you call me. Look, I'm getting wasted tonight but Cadence doesn't drink so whenever it's time to go she'll be driving us home. Don't drink too much. Your body isn't used to it. Trust me, two or three drinks and you'll already be falling all over the place."

I smiled softly at Caden before patting his shoulder. As annoying as his overprotectiveness could be at times, it was actually really sweet of him to be looking out for me like this. I'm glad I've got friends who genuinely care about me.

"I'm gonna be fine. Thanks, Cade." I leaned over to kiss his cheek and mess up his hair before jumping out and slamming the door behind me. I heard him yelling and let out a small laugh. He hated people touching his curls.
