Dahlia's POV
************

"She's what?" Cadence whisper yelled.

"Yeah, don't tell anyone. I'm only telling you guys because you're my best friends." I mumbled before shoving some fruit into my mouth.

"And the baby is...Your gay brother's?" Caden questioned.

"Yep. That's what she said."

"Well, people say things all the time! That doesn't make it true!" Cadence hissed.

"It adds up," I shrugged. "She said she's three months pregnant. That means she got pregnant in November. She was throwing up during our trip to the cabin. We all thought it was because of the Japanese food, but apparently, she hadn't even had any. That's what Denny said that she said."

"Well, I don't give a rat's ass what Denver said she said, what she said to Denver and what Denver said to you is a lie!" Cadence growled.

"It adds up, Cadence." I shrugged once again.

"So what?! She could still be lying! She's smart enough to calculate the months and the times and shit so that she can come up with a convincing—"

"I know we don't like her, but come on. I seriously don't think she'd lie about this." I sighed. "It sucks, but it's happening."

"Real bummer." Hudson mumbled before getting quiet again.

Caden gulped down some of his soup before shaking his head. "I can't believe this, D. Denver's got his whole life ahead of him!"

Yeah, he does. He was planning to move out soon, go to college, start saving. All that shit. How's he gonna do that with a kid?

Boy, his therapist is gonna have a lot of work to do during their next session.

"He's strong, he'll get past this." I shrugged once again. I'm trying to be chill about this whole situation. I was freaking the fuck out last night when Denver told me—internally, of course—but now I'm just...I don't know.

I'm just gonna wait and see how this all plays out. I'm gonna be there for Denver no matter what, and I know Cora and dad will too whenever they find out. This will all be just fine.

I'm gonna be an aunt.

Oh, god I'm too young to be an aunt!

Okay, I'm calm. I'm calm, this is fine. Seriously, this is all fine.

"Oh, my arm hurts, I think I'm having a stroke," I whispered, rubbing my arm. "Ugh—Billie and I made up yesterday." I added weakly, trying to change the subject.

"You're too young to stroke—that's what she said!" Caden cackled loudly before clearing his throat. "That's really good! See, we told you it was only a matter of time before you two got back together!"

"We're not back together," I shook my head. "We just agreed to stop being jerks to each other and to get rid of the awkward ass tension between us."
