The Misunderstanding

''Ms Young i think you might be pregnant''

''what?'' i was shook. what i was going to tell him? i looked pale maybe that's why they called Hardin in

''What happened? what did you do to her?'' he said looking at the doctor and the nurse

''we didn't do anything mister, we just told your wife that she may be pregnant, but we are not sure of it yet''

Hardin's pov

''pregnant? how can she be fucking pregnant, i used protection all the damn time''

''maybe it just broke.'' god what the fuck am i gonna do, i simply cant keep myself up not even a baby. what do i tell Tessa? she is probably shook and frightened and i don't wanna scare her more.

Tessa's pov

he didn't say a word, he just stood next to me and looked at the ground, it was scaring me, what was he thinking

''Hardin?''

''Hardin?''

''yeah'' he finally answered

''what are you thinking,'' by that time the doctors already left the room so we could talk in private

''i don't know Tess, i don't think i am going to be the best dad for the kid''

''hey hey listen i'm scared as hell too, but we will go through this together, its true we wont be the parents of the year but we will try our best

''yeah i guess you are right,'' he said smiling at me

''i love you,'' he said kissing my hand

''i love you more''

''not possible,'' at the moment the doctor came in with the test results

''guys we are sorry to interrupt you, but here is the blood test which says, that you, Ms Young are not pregnant, it was just a misunderstanding'' i felt relieved, but Hardin looked angry as hell

''what? a misunderstanding?? are you a doctor or what? how the hell could you tell a person something like that and then tell her that it was a misunderstanding??''

''Hardin it ok, it all good now,'' i said cuping his face in my hands,

''So ms young you still wanna do the birth control?''

''yeah, yeah i do''

''ok can we ask your husband to leave please?''

''oh we are not married,'' we said in unison, but Hardin added ''Yet''

the doctor did whatever she did and i was on a birth control from this moment. (Lucky Hardin lol.)

''thank you and sorry for my boyfriend's outburst he was just nervous''

''yeah don't worry Ms Young, this kind of things happen to us all the time,'' i laughed and left the room trying to find Hardin who was already paying at the cash desk. i approached him and said

''you didn't have to pay for me''

''yeah i had to, this birth control thing was more for my own good then yours,'' with that we left the hospital. on the way home we talked about what just happened

''Hardin i wanna tell you something''

''what is it love?''

''i wasn't ready for the baby either, i think i'm too young for a baby, and i just pretended that i was ok only to keep you calm''

''Tess, actually i was doing the exact same thing, i mean i want a baby of course but its too soon for both of us, we have to enjoy life and i am not ready to share you with anyone'' he said with a smirk

''speaking of which,'' i added with a smirk ''i have a surprise for you''

''spill''

''well its a surprise, so i cant tell but i will give a hint, it includes something red... ''
