chapter 25 | hero killer

You had been training with Triton for a few days, and those days were filled with immense training and laughter. He seemed cold when you first met but you were completely wrong, he was just really determined to take training seriously. You and the water hero had formed some sort of connection, he truly was amazing. He showed many ways to use your quirk without becoming tired, he showed you how to create some cool shapes using water and most importantly, he was showing you love. You were already skilled with your quirk, due to immense training with your father a few years ago.
Ah, that's it. The connection you were feeling- this guy you only knew for like three days, he was like the father you wanted. 'Not time to get sappy, (Y/N)'.
"Yo, Aquarius!" The male kicked the door open, causing you to jump. "Shit!" You squeaked, moving your hand to your heart. Realizing it was your mentor, you calmed down. "Jeez.."
"I know we just had like training and you're tired but, I really want to go to Olive Garden or something. Go take a shower and let's go!" He pulled you off of the bed and shoving you to the bathroom. "I'll be waiting in my office." He said before rushing out the room.
You smiled at this. This guy only knew you for at least three days and he was already treating you like some family member, he kind of reminded you of your dad before that day.
After taking a quick shower and putting on your hero costume (annoyingly, youhadtowearyourcostumeincaseanythinghappens), you made your way to his office. You knocked before walking in, "I'm ready." You smiled as he got up and made his way over to you, "Last one there buys the dinner!" He quickly cheered, lightly pushing you away from the door and running out. "NOT FAIR!"

"Damn it, kid.." Triton murmured, out of breath. "I win!" You giggled. Triton rolled his eyes playfully, ruffling your hair he motioned for you to follow him to a table in the back. "There aren't a lot of people here." You suspiciously said before picking up the menu and reading over it.
You soon ordered your food and you both began to eat, talking and quoting memes to each other you suddenly shut your mouth to the sound of an explosion. You and your friend stood up, running to the window you looked out and gasped.
"Nomu's!"
Triton ran over to the employee's, telling them to evacuate from the back of the restaurant. "What do I do?" You asked. He shook his head, "You're going back to the agency building. I'll have the reception lady pick you up."
