chapter 64 | something new

You had finally decided where you'd do your work study at. And it wasn't with your good ol pal Triton.
You actually decided to go with the pro hero Night Stone. Your brother trains with him, and you decided that working with someone new would be good. Plus, he knew your brother so you felt a bit more comfortable.
"WHAT?!?!" Triton gripped onto your shoes. "Look, I know, I wanted to work with you too but wouldn't it just be better if I worked with somebody new this time?" You sweat dropped.
Triton stared at you intensely before sobbing uncontrollably. "Calm down!" You tried to control his cries but he wouldn't budge.
"Y-Y-You're g-gonna..." He couldn't even get a sentence out.
"Why are you making this such a big deal?!" You groaned.
"You're gonna get a new older hero buddy! You're gonna forget about me!" The water hero sobbed.
You slapped your forehead, "No I won't. I'm just going with him because my brother knows him. We're still going to be besties."
He stops crying and sniffs, "Promise?"
You nod, "Yes."
You managed to shake him off, "And besides, his building isnt that far away from yours so I'll be able to visit you more often now."
Triton got up and dusted off the imaginary dust on his knees. "Wait, you haven't even told me who your working with."
"Oh. I'm working with Night Stone."
Triton doesn't reply, his eyes widen as he looks down at you. "What..?"
You shuffle back, "What? What's the matter?"
He mumbles something before reaching to grab his keys. He throws a smile onto his face, "Okay. I'll just drive you there then."
"Thanks..?"

You hop out of Tritons car and wave bye to him as he drives off. You turn around and look at the entrance. "Ah shit, here we go again."
You walk inside the building and you see your brother. "Gray." You call out, he looks up from his phone. "Hey, follow me."
You and Gray go into the elevator and make it to the highest floor. You walk out and you stop right in front of a door.
Gray knocks on the door, a 'Come in.' can be heard from the other side. Gray opens the door and the two of you walk in. You look around for a bit, waiting for your brother to do something.
