You had first met Bonnie when you were both young children, him being at least a year older than you. When you were 11 and Bonnie 12, you started to form a friendship that would later turn into a relationship full of passion and desire. Meeting on the same gypsy camp, you both would spend every single summer's day playing with the Irish cobs, running wild through the long grass or splashing around in the flowing streams. Winter time in the countryside was harsh and brutal, but that still didn't stop the two of you from seeing each other. You would take it in turns each day throughout the winter seasons to walk to each other's caravans and spend the day listening to each other's parents tell stories or past experiences.
It was only when you had turned 16 that the two of you started to realise your feelings for one another. It took at least a month for the two of you to admit it, Bonnie making the first move while you were both sitting in the long grass watching the sun go down, your hand in his as you rested on his chest.
Two years later and you were both completely in love, showing your affection for each other with no problems. Everyone a part of the two Romani families were absolutely rooting for the two of you to get married. Bonnie had numerously told you that he wanted to wed you, raise children with you and protect and love you till the end of time, but before that was to happen, Bonnie wanted to create a secure and safe reputation for the two of you. This is was going to be done through Thomas Shelby.
Thomas Shelby.
Thomas.
Shelby.
You had never been a fan of the man. You didn't trust him as far as you could throw him and you despised him despite how much Bonnie reassured you of the man he was so grateful to; his boxing dreams were finally becoming a reality and you couldn't have been prouder and happier for Bonnie. You had always been the one egging him on, supporting him through his dark days and praising him through his lighter ones; if it was his dream, it was your's too and you were going to make sure your dreams were going to come true.
You walked through the busy streets of Birmingham and headed towards the Shelby Boxing Club, run by Arthur and managed by Thomas Shelby. The sound of knuckles hitting boxing bags could be heard from outside of the building, the grunts of hard work and struggle echoing off the walls and through the rooms. You walked through and instantly caught Bonnie's gaze; he was currently talking to Tommy and his father, probably about his boxing skills. You nodded, seeking for approval to come over to him and he nodded with his eyes, gesturing for you to snuggle into his arm. You strode over and pecked Bonnie on the cheek before you turned to his father and smiled. "Mr Gold." You stated and beamed, you had always got on well with him.
"How many times do I have to tell you, Y/N? It's Aberama to you. Christ, you'll be married to my son before long." He chuckled and turned back to Tommy. A frown formed onto your face but you didn't let it linger, instead you battled your eyelashes and smiled up at the Blinder. "Mr Shelby." You nodded and felt Bonnie lightly squeeze your waist with the hand that was wrapped around your figure; a sign of approval and gratefulness at your politeness to the man you despised.
Once Tommy and Aberama had left, Bonnie pulled you into his arms and placed both of his hands either side of your waist, pulling you up on your toes as you kissed him; a kiss that earned a few whistles from the other boxers as you both reacquainted yourselves. Bonnie pulled away and smirked at the whistling boys, pulling you out of the building and towards your shared apartment. Whilst you both were walking, Bonnie pulled out the peaked cap and placed it securely on his head, the metal of the razors sewn into the back of it caught your eye as the light bounced off it. You stopped in your tracks and pulled your hand away from Bonnie's warm one. "You're a Blinder, eh? When were you going to tell me?" You stated sternly, annoyed at the fact that he hadn't told you sooner.
"I was going to tell you when we got home. Do you know what this means? What owning one of these caps means?" Bonnie asked reassuringly, clasping your hand in his once again as he rubbed your knuckles with his calloused fingertips. "That you've just signed your death sentence?!" You spoke, your voice laced with sarcasm. Bonnie chuckled at your comment and grabbed your other hand, looking you deeply in the eyes. "This means that we can finally settle down, get married, stay safe." Bonnie beamed, the sparkle in his eyes glowing vividly from the weakly lit streetlights. You smiled and watched in complete shock as Bonnie reached into his back pocket and pulled out a brown box.
Before you knew what was happening, tears were starting to run their way down your cheeks as you watched him kneel on one knee beneath you. "Y/N, I have loved you with all my heart since the first moment I laid my eyes on you. I knew then that I would vow with my life that I would protect you with everything I have. I love you, Y/N and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Y/N Y/L/N, will you marry me?" Bonnie spoke softly, gulping harshly awaiting your reply. "Oh, of course I will, Bonnie! I love you so much!" You cried and watched him slip the ring on your finger, the diamond glowing beneath the stars. You beamed and looked up at your one true love; a look filled with so much passion, desire, love and devour. You jumped into his arms and wrapped your legs around his waist, kissing him passionately as you physically thanked him. You pulled away and looked down at the cap perched on his head, the short shaven hairs played with between your fingers as you admired his new look; god did he look sexy. You thought. "You know what, keep the cap. It suits you and you look damn sexy." You grinned down at him and kissed him softly once more before you pulled away and dropped down to your feet. "Now, my future husband, please take me back to our apartment where we can celebrate the Mrs Gold to be." You smirked and linked you hands once again.
