Lost In Love

Life is really like a roller coaster of emotions. We laugh when we are happy, we cry when we are sad and we shout when we are angry. All of these were already part of our six years relationship.

I can’t take away the smile drawn on my face while thinking all the things we’ve been through. Despite the obstacles and challenges we’ve encountered in life, we were still together, stronger and unbreakable. Petty and I are surely match made in Heaven. And tonight, I want to make everything perfect as I promised way back then to be the man she can grow old with.

“This is it!” I exclaimed in front of the mirror with a big smile on the lips.

“Hey, Sam, what’s up with you? Smiling like stupid in front of the mirror.”

I immediately hid the ring inside my pocket when I heard the voice of my beloved woman as I turned  around to faced her. I smiled when our eyes met.

“Nothing. Are you ready?” I asked as I walked towards the door where she is standing.

“Of course I am,” she answered. “By the way, I also invited Pat, Prem and Tomas to our dinner party.”

I just smiled. She doesn’t really need to invite them because in the first place, I already planned this in advance.

“Oh, okay.” I put my hands on her shoulder and led her to the bathroom. “Go take a bath now. We might get late at the party.”

“Okay, okay,” she giggled.

When she’s already inside the bathroom, I used the remaining time to call my family and friends who are busy preparing for today’s special event. I pretended like we are just going to a dinner party when in fact that dinner will be a wedding proposal.

After twenty minutes of taking a bath, Petty went out from the bathroom only wearing a towel wrapped around her body. Damn. She’s so sexy and beautiful. How lucky I am to have her.

“My fair lady,” I blurted out.

“I love you,” she said.

“I love you more.”

In a swift motion, I stood in front of her and claimed her lips. It took us a while before we let go of each other. Petty took her clothes on, came near me and reached my necktie.

“I told you, you should wear this properly,” she said as she untie and fixed my necktie. I can’t help but to stare at her beautiful face while she does my necktie.

“You’re a great girlfriend indeed. You are perfect for me and we are perfect for each other.”

“You know what—”

I stopped her from talking by crushing my lips on hers. She quickly let go and gently punch my chest. I chuckled.

“You startled me!” she hissed. “Don’t kiss me so sudden—”
