she needs you

I pulled out my phone to see a few missed messages. One an 8-ball game from Woojin, another a reminder from Chan, and a random message from Hyunjin?

I read the message aloud to myself...

"don't even think about it."
——————————

I was totally right. Hyunjin's eye rolls were totally targeted toward me. He hated how I was toward Minho last night. He probably thinks I just wanted the attention and now that 'Oh I think im gay too!' or something and.. and ..

And then the door bell rang.  Thank god it did. I was probably about to lose my mind. I assumed it was Chan and long behold that's who it was.

I gathered myself and walked down the stairs to the door. With a deep breath I opened to reveal my Aussie friend standing right outside with a bright smile slapped across his face. I was honestly surprised as we were gonna be talking about a serious topic so I would've expected a straight face.

"Hey! Come right in." I presently welcomed him into the house. He didn't say anything and just nodded as he stepped up the one stair on to the hard wood floor. "H-how are you?" I said starting to get nervous.

"I'm actually in a good mood this morning so your lucky, mate." He smirked to me as he leaned against my counter. "Shall we talk here or...?" Chan was ready to get into this right away which immediately sent off a bunch of nervous vibes in me.

"Uh we can talk in my room." I nervously smiled . Before turning to hide my scared pale face up the direction of the stairs. I led Chan to my room. It was a bit of a mess, but pretty nice looking aesthetically so it made up for the clothes all over the place .

"Not too bad, mate." Chan smiled. But it was a strange smile. I could tell he was starting to get more serious. We held this awkward stare for a few seconds before Chan sighed. "Sorry if I'm being weird... just didn't want you to be nervous." He stated.

I was kind of catching on to that but it wasn't working...I still felt nauseous and light headed. How i always felt around Chan. Normally when we talked about his sister I felt normal. But something was just... different.

"So, what are your rules?" I nervously asked, sitting on the edge of my bed. He sat next to me, a warm yet chilling feeling ran through my arms, giving me goose bumps .

"I wanted to ask something else first. Are you even still into her?" Chan mentioned how he observed how everyone reacted about her. "You seem distant to her and i don't want her getting hurt i can't lose her she's all i-"

"Christopher Bang. Hush for a moment ok?" I quickly started to calm him down. Chan has been very protective of Emma recently and he refused to explain why. Maybe they just had some family problems and weren't comfortable sharing... I just want them both to be ok.

"Yes. I still feel I have something for her but... just not as desperate. I wouldn't wanna get in the way of anything right now. She'll be ok." I stated.

"She's mentioned liking someone recently but, never said who." He explained.

"She just... needs someone right now , jisung. And if it isn't anyone else then it can be you. And normally I would have to say no to you but-" he took a deep breath and placed a hand on my back. "She needs you..."

I just looked into Chan's stare for a moment. It was filled with concern and hope at the same time. I reached my hand over to his other and placed it on top. "I promise to do what I can." We both held smiles and looked at each other like buddies do sometimes and then broke into a small giggle.

"The seriousness can't ever last between us can it, mate?" Chan said finishing up his laughter. I nodded. It never can. Chan and I are the last people to attempt at keep a straight face on this whole planet.

"Well... i should get going. I really shouldn't leave her alone any longer than I have." Chan stood up quickly and brushed down his jacket to make it seem unwrinkled.

"I don't see why you didn't just let her tag along, Kat's in her room right now doing god knows what." I laughed softly, placing one band behind my head and shrugging.

Chan's mood went back to his normal dad type. He just replied with a "no she's fine." And turned to leave.

"I'll see you later I assume. Bye Chan." I called before he could exit. But the front door shut before I could get a reply or knew he heard me.

But now that he was gone I had something else to handle...

Me
hey minho , you think you could come over tonight..? i wanted to talk and maybe do something to hang out? say 5? let me know as soon as you can.

it was about 3:30 when Chan left. Minho replying shortly after .

yeah of course! ill be there for sure :)

And with that it was settled. I knew I had to talk to someone about ... about Hyunjin. It was so sudden and strange.

I would've told Chan but he seemed strange today. Sometime has to be going on for him to act unfamiliar and a bit more straight forward than normal. I just didn't wanna have to throw another problem at him. Let just hope everything is alright between the two siblings.

But he got all strange at the sound of my sisters name. She didn't do anything I hope. I mean she's been ok recently from what I've seen.

That just made me think though. I began to get a worry inside, making my stomach turn a bit. After Chan was gone for a few moments I walked over to her door and gave a soft knock.

"Kat..?" No reply. She was in there as I could hear something, but nothing clear. "You in there..?" I softly opened the door to find the last thing I needed right now... she was hurt.

Her body was shaking immensely , her face burned, and her pillows flooded tears. Immediately I rushed over to her and lifted her into my arms, holding her tight.  The poor shaking girl just cried softly. "What the hell happen?! Are you ok?" I asked quickly. she just leaned against me and stuttered to speak. "It's all my fault, jisung..."

"it's all my fault..."
