I feel electricity go through my body as we kiss. Holy crap, I'm clichè. We pull apart when air is needed.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean -" Alex starts to tell me with a apologetic look. I stopped her from continuing, as I give her a peck on the lips. She gives me a smile.
"Don't apologize Beautiful" I tell her as I playfully tap her nose.

"So uh where does this leave us?" She asks me with hopeful eyes.
"You know I told Carli, I wasn't ready to give myself fully to someone but when I look at you. I can't help it anymore" I tell her honestly as I look straight her into her eyes so she knows I mean it.
"I would love for this to go somewhere. I do its just... we live so far from one another, I live on the other side of the country" she sighs. She has a point, even if we wanted something between us. It would be hard.
"You're absolutely right" I tell her as I drop the conversation. I pull out from the parking lot and I drive to the street head and take my lane. The drive to Klings house was silent. No music, no talking. I pull up to Klings driveway.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask her, hopefully she says yes to the coffee.

"Yes of course, I'm still up for tomorrow" she tells me as she gets her stuff, I get off my truck. Walk over to her door and open it. "Such a gentlewoman, thank you" she tells me getting off. I close the door. Scratch my neck, cause I'm so nervous.
"Bye Sage" she tells me, and she walks to the front door. I hop into my truck, and I watch her walk inside. I drive off.

Great I thought. Here I was trying to have a thing for someone. I mean she's the one who decided to kiss me. Right? She made the first move and then let's me down. You know what, maybe it was just in the moment. She was emotional and I was talking sweetly to her. That's what it was. She doesn't actually want me. I keep thinking until I pull up to Publix. I have to buy groceries for to night.

After self checkout, I take my bags and head to my truck. I drive to my apartment. I still have time. I cut the vegetables and put them in the fridge. I pull the chicken out to defrost. I walk to my room, jump on my bed and instantly fall asleep.

I wake up to ringing from my doorbell. I look at my phone. It's 6:15. Crap!
I walk to my door, and I look through the peep hole. It's Kling. I overslept. I open the door

"You know I've been ringing this doorbell for 10 mins now" she tells me laughing. She comes in and places the stuff on the counter.
"I'm so sorry, I overslept. Looks like we'll have to wait a while. I was suppose to have the chicken already made by the time you got here" I tell her apologetically.

"It's all good, I get it. Tobin and I also fell asleep. Took a long nap." She tells me taking out the snacks she brought and the movie.
"I can't wait for recovery tomorrow, the ice baths are calling my name" I say to her walking to my sink to take the defrosted chicken. I walk to my stove, I grab a pan and heat it up. I put butter on the pan as it heats up.
"Do you want to play PS3 while I finally get the meal done?" I ask her, so that she can be occupied and distracted until it's ready.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" She asks me coming over to the stove.

"Nah I got this, you go chill on the couch" I tell her. She doesn't hesitate. She walks over and turns the console on. I start the dinner.

"Yo this is really good, how'd you learn to cook like that?" She asks me taking a bite from the lemon peppered chicken.

"I learned to cook for myself at the age of 11, my mom was always so busy with my little sister. I would make dinner for 4. I've burned my food a couple times." I tell her.

"You didn't tell me you had a little sister, how old is she?" She asks me curiously, and a little hurt I didn't tell her.

" She's 16, her name is Mykayla. She's not my only sibling. I have a little brother who's 14, his name is Scott." I tell her as I finish my dish. I honestly did a good job. I love cooking.

"Why don't you talk about them?" She asks me, taking a sip from her water.

"We aren't close. It's not from envy, but my sister always got all the attention. It's not her fault but because of a lot of that, I distanced myself from her. We aren't close but whenever she needs me, I'm always there for her. As for my brother, when he was born. I didn't have a lot of time to spend time with him. He was always little, and then when I could actually talk to him. I was already at my last year of high school. I already had a scholarship to Standford and I was leaving by the next year. I wasn't in there lives long enough. We keep in touch. They text me every now and then. Whenever my sister feels off, she would text me for advice. I always call her and try to give her the confidence she needs. She's a goalie for her high school team, and club team." I tell Kling. Finally opening up more. She nods understanding.

"Does your brother play soccer too?" She asks me as we walk to the sink and she helps me wash the dishes.
" No, he never got into it. He loves baseball though. My dad always takes him the baseball games from our county high schools. When they go to New York, they always go during season to watch the New York Yankees." I tell her as we dry the dishes and put them in the cabinets.
"Will you be seeing them soon?" She asks me. I plan on it, I just don't know when. It's harder now being on the other side of the country.
"I plan on it, I'm just waiting for the opportunity. It sucks that my family is all the way in Jersey and I'm here. They are fine with it though, cause I'm doing what I love" I tell her as I lean over the counter. She puts her hand on mine.

"I bet they are proud of you, I also think maybe you should get closer to your siblings. I have a little brother, his name is Drew. He played soccer in college too, we're pretty close. Trust me it's nice having a good relationship with your siblings." She tells me.
Not bad advice, I do think about it a lot. I just feel like it's late to start it with my siblings. I know for sure that my sister has states in a month. Maybe I'll surprise her at her big game.

"Your right, you are." I tell her smiling.

We watch the movie, and we even end up falling asleep on the couch somehow.
