We're currently in Carli's house. Brian's here, he's a very nice guy. I've played Golf with him and Carli many times. He treats me like a little sister honestly.
"Seriously you would be a little disappointed in me if you saw the way I was playing that night at Mini Golf with Alex, I did horrible" I tell Brian as I take sip of my Lemonade. He shakes his head and playfully gives me a disappointed look
"It's okay you aren't the only one" he nods his head towards Carli, who playfully hits him in the shoulder.
"Okay Brian we aren't all as good as you when it comes to Golf" I tell him laughing, he just laughs.
"Thanks for letting me stay here you guys" I tell them genuinely.
"You're family Sage, you can stay here anytime" he tells me smiling. I finish my lemonade. I have an hour to get ready before my sisters game. I walk to the guest room and I change into a hoodie, and leggings and some sneaks. It's a little chilly out so why not?
I'm just waiting for Carli. Carli is from Delran but she moved to Medford. Medford is my home town, so I know everywhere here. I'll be driving to my old high school. The school I left a while ago, I wonder if it's changed. I head down to the living room to wait for Carli. After a few mins, she comes down and she's dressed almost like me. Honestly soccer girls only dress when they have too look nice otherwise Sweats are our go too. She hands me her keys, and I walk outside. She saying bye to Brian. I unlock her car, and I go into the drivers seat and she comes after.
"I can't believe I'll be seeing how your high school looks!" She tells me excitedly getting in and shutting the door.
"I've seen yours, its decent. When I was in school, our principal was a huge fan of anything soccer related. So he always made sure the soccer teams had good equipment and everything. Although, my school had to cut off the girls soccer team due to not many girls trying out, I had to play for the Boys team. Wasn't easy but we made it states each year." I tell her as we make our way to my high school.
"You never told me you had to play with boys, how was it?" She asks me with interest.
"Rough, sometimes they didn't want to sub me in and the guys purposely played rough with me whenever we had practice. So lame, but my last year of high school. They finally brought back the girls soccer team. They made me captain and I lead us to states and we won. So it wasn't always bad" I tell her with my eyes on road. I see her nod from my peripheral vision. We finally arrive at my high school. It looks packed. I try to find a parking spot but I end up having to park in the grass. We get out of the car and we make our way to the gates. We have to pay 5 dollars to go in. I pay for Carli and I. We head to the bleachers and it's a full house so we're going to have to stand.
"Wow it's packed" Carli says as she looks around.
"It's usually this packed when we play States" I tell her. She nods and we are able to find an open spot in the bleachers. We quickly walk over and we sit.
"Oh my gosh your Carli Lloyd and Sage Wilder!!" The girl next to me says. Carli and I both smile. She looks like she wants to cry.
"Hi!" I tell her excitedly
"This is like a dream come true honestly, can I get a picture with you two??" She asks me.
"Yeah of course, Carli get in the picture" I say. We smile to the Camera.
"Thank you so much!" She tells me
"It's no problem" I tell her back. I look over to a huddle on the side of the bleachers. Maroon and black, yup that's my school. I see my sister in her black Goal keeper kit. They break away. Before they start they will be announcing sort of a farewell to the seniors in our team. After that, we do the anthem and the captains shake hands. My sister is in Goal. She looks so focus and into the game. I don't want her to know I'm here just yet. The game starts.
