Tobin's POV

On my way to the airport, to pick up Sage's parents. This is also my first time meeting them, and I don't know if Sage has told them about me, let alone the kids. There's no traffic this morning surprisingly, which is making time go by fast. When I get to the airport, I go to the baggage claim to wait for them. My phone starts ringing, and I see it's Sage.

"Morning Love" she tells me sweetly, I love her voice. I can practically hear a smile as she called me love.

"Hey baby, I'm at the airport waiting for your parents"

"They don't know about you or the kids, so uh.. I mean you can tell them" she tells me nervously.

"Are you sure-"

"Baby I'm positive, we have a free day today so tell them when you get home. Facetime me, so we can tell them both" she tells me. We stay on the phone until she has to go down for breakfast. As I wait patiently, I see her parents, and Scott making their way down from the escalators. I walk to them, and they see me.

"Hi nice to meet you, I'm Tobin" I tell them offering Sage's mom a handshake and making my way to her dad and her brother.

"This my wife Dianne and I'm Chris, this is Scott" Chris tells me as he shakes my hand. We make small talk as we go to the baggage claim. I help them with the bags, as we take the elevators to go down to the parking lot.

"I think I've seen you before" Chris speaks up. We haven't officially met but I was there when he decided to make a surprise visit at Sage's old apartment.

"Uh yeah I believe you have" I tell him nodding as I stare at the road, making sure we make it home with this now crazy traffic. The things I do for love.

"Why couldn't Sage pick us up? Not that there's something wrong with you but normally it would be her." Dianne speaks up from the back seat.

"She's on national duty but she'll be back in 2 days" I tell them, after that the car ride is silent. When we get to the house, they're shocked. Hopefully it isn't too messy, I have not cleaned so much with having to do so much. Going to practice, picking them up for school, taking them to practice, me going to recovery. "Oh look Chris, the house is beautiful. You know we have to have Christmas here. Help Sage put the lights up, and the tree." She says all excited and sweetly. They both admire the patio and the yard I help them take the luggage from the trunk, we make our way to the front door. As soon as we got close, Zues and Copper start barking. I unlock the door, and they back away.

"Just let them sniff you first before you make a sudden approach" I tell them, and I let them walk in, as soon as they walk in. Zues growls and takes a few sniffs of them before his tail starts wiggling. Copper doing the same. They start to get cheery, knowing they'll get love from new guests.

"They like you" I tell them and Scott starts petting them. Sage's parents look around the house as we walk into the loving room.

"I love the decor!" Dianne lighty yells happily with her hand on her chest as she admires the room. I move thr luggage with Chris to the guest rooms we have. I pulled out a inflatable mattress to Connors room, so Scott could have a room also. I don't want them to have to sleep on a sofa bed.

"Thank you" Chris tells me as he looks around the room and placing his luggage against the bed. I welcome him and we walk back to the living room.

"We wanted to wait to tell you something important, I'll have to call Sage." I tell them and they give me a confused look. They sit on the couch and I take my phone out and ring Sage.

Sage POV

I'm laying on bed of my hotel room. Alex is also but there hasn't been any spoken words since the other night. Which is good because I can't completely be at a time where we can sorta be friends yet. I look at me screen as I'm getting a facetime request from Tobin. Here goes nothing. When I accept, I'm quickly revealed to my family. Tobin sitting beside Scott.

"Hey!" I tell them excitedly and waving.

"Hey honey, how are you?" My mom asks me with happiness splattered on her face. Making me realize how much I really miss her.

"Doing great, how are you guys?"

"We're doing good sweetie"

"I see you've finally met Tobin." I tell them, my mom and brother nod smiling. It's good to see they seem to like her.

"I have something to tell you" as soon as that left my mouth, my dad clears his throat and ushers me to continue. I grab my families attention, and now I'm getting nervous. I look to Tobin and she gives me an encouraging smile.

"Tobin's my girlfriend... and you have grandkids."
