Chapter 31

My sister forgot to pack her shin guards. So I had to let her borrow some of mine. We grab our gym bags, and we walk outside. I get to drive my baby!
I unlock my truck

"Wow, sick truck sis" my sister tells me handing me her gym bag. I put them in the back seat.

"I know right!" I tell her back. I see Tobin and Kling, walking out of my apartment. They wave to us and get in the car. They pull out of the driveway. They have to get their gear from Klings apartment. We get in my truck, and we make our way to the stadium. When we get there, I look at my sister and she looks nervous

"If you're having thoughts about the team not liking you, they are so chill. Okay? They will love you." I tell her as I put my car in park. I get off, and I walk over to her side. To open the back seat, for our bags. She gets off and grabs her bag, I handed her. I grab mine. I shut the door and we make our way to the entrance. She follows me to the locker rooms. I see Lindsey and Allie here, and a few others.

"Hey Sage!" Allie comes over and hugs me. Lindsey makes her way over to us. Allie let's go of me, and Lindsey gives me a hug.

"You brought your sister!?" Allie yells and runs over to my sister. Engulfs her in a hug. Lindsey goes over and hugs her too. They introduce themselves. My phone starts ring. Its Alex

"Hello Love" I say to Alex
" Hey Beautiful, how are you settling in?" She asks me. Ugh I miss her voice, her smile, and her presence.
"Pretty good, I brought my sister with me" I tell her. I hear her give off a small shriek.
"I'm so happy you did, gives you guys time to be closer!" She tells me excited for me.
"How's Orlando?" I ask her.
"Like always bright and sunny, Ash and Ali invited Blue and I over today for dinner. Oh and I might have told some of my teammates about us. Marta wants to meet you." She tells me, she sounds happy.
"Marta? As in the Great Marta?" I ask her for resurrness.
"Yes! She's cool don't worry. I wish you weren't all the way in Portland" she tells me in a sad tone.
"You'll see me in a few weeks, and also I have a lot to tell you!" I tell her. I want her to know about my dad and stuff. As someone I have thing with, she deserves to know.
"Everything okay?" She asks me concerned.
"Uh yeah things are better now but I want to talk to you about. Can I call you later tonight. I'm at practice, and there's people here I don't want them to know. Its personal" I tell her quietly.
"Yes you can call me later baby, how's your sister liking Portland?" She asks me changing the subject, thank you to Alex. More people are coming in.
"She's been hanging out with Tobin and Kling, she's been enjoying herself on her first day. It's also her first practice with Pro soccer players! I know she'll do great" I tell Alex, as I put on my socks and cleats.
"I'm really excited for her, I also can't wait to meet her. The pictures you sent me over her and you. You guys are just so beautiful" my girl complicated me. We aren't official but we know we just want each other.
"Aw thank you baby, yeah she's really pretty. It's in the Gene's" I tell her jokingly. I can her chuckle.
"You're such a goofball, are you bringing her to our next Camp?" She asks me curiously.
"Yes I am, Jill wants her training with us" I tell Alex
"I'm probably going to take your sister every with me" Alex says excitedly. I know she will.
"I wouldn't be surprised my love" I tell her laughing.
"Does she know about us?" Alex asks me. Crap my sister doesn't. Guess she'll know soon.
"No but she'll know eventually" I tell Alex, as I look over at my sister. Who is being tickled by Tobin and Allie. I laugh a little
"Aw I love hearing you laugh" Alex tells me, I can see her smiling about it.
"Thanks baby, it's just Tobin and Allie are tickling my sister" I tell her. She laughs a little
"Sounds like them" she says back. I really wish Alex was here, I miss her comfort.
"Hey baby, we're ready to go out and practice" I tell her not wanting to stop talking to her. Everyones heading to the pitch.
"Alright baby, have a good practice, I'll call you later" she tells me
"Thank you Love bye" I tell her before we both hang up. I walk out of the locker room. I walk into the pitch. I see my sister talking with Adriana Franch, and Mark. Walk over to them.

"I was telling your sister the offer" Mark tells me. I nod. My sister looks unsure right now

"She'll need some time to think about it" I speak for her. She looks at me, and she gives me a look. Like telling me "thank you" for the save.

"Alright well, the offer will stand. Let's get practice started!" He says walking away. We start practice. We do a beep test, and work on agility. We work on cut- backs and one touch shootings. 1vs1, Tobin and I. We work on pressure and long passes. My sister and Adriana are getting ready to take shots from us. My sister is on the line, going to take a shot from Christine. Christine shoots to the left, and my sister dives and catches it. Good job M-kay
"Good M-kay!" I yell to her. She smiles and walks back to the side, it's Adriana's turn. She caught hers. Now my sisters again, taking Tobin's kick. She dives for it, but was able to catch it. It kept going back and forth until it was my turn. Adriana was going to take it but, my sister stopped her and walked to the line.

"Aye someone record this!" Someone says behind me. I laugh a little. I grab the ball, and I place it firmly on the grass. I look up at my sister and back at the ball. I step back a couple steps. I look at her and I run and kick the ball to the top right corner. She jumps up and touches it with her fingertips but it goes in anyway. She falls on the ground. She gets up and looks at me

"I'll get it one day" she tells me with confidence

"I don't doubt it" I tell her. We all take turns again. My sister is really good, Mark looks satisfied with my sisters potential. Eventually practice ends. We go to the locker rooms to change.

"Your sister is really good!" Lindsey comes over and tells me.

"Mark thinks so too, she gave her an offer" I tell Lindsey. She sits next to me

"Her schooling is what she really has to think about huh?" She asks me but already knowing.

"Yeah, I know she'll want to spend her last 2 years of high school with them. I was hoping she would take the offer, she could move in with me and do online school." I tell Lindsey. She nods in understanding.

"She'll have to make the right decision for herself" she tells me back. She pats my back and walks over to her locker to change. I just hope it's the right decision.
