Chapter 48

After our warm ups we head to the locker rooms to change. Carli took the cubby next to me, because Alex has attempted in someway to talk to me. Carli isn't letting her. Eventually I'll let her explain but right now, I'm not in the mood. Tobin has the kids with her, they are sitting in the stands. I'm glad that someone can watch them while I play.

"Let's go ladies!" Dawn calls us out. I'm in the starting line up. Playing as left forward. Alex isn't on the starting lineup, Carli will be taking her position. Which honestly makes it great. My sisters on the bench today. We're playing England today. We start to head out, making my way to the line. We walkout and they play England's anthem and then ours.

They blow the whistle and we start the game. Ball is passed back and forth in the backline. Lindsey passes it to Rose, and she does her Ronaldinho moves. She kicks it to Christen, and we start to push up. She kicks it over the defenders and I try to tap it in but Lucy Bronze also got contacted with the ball as I kicked it. Making it go over the the net. Going for a goal kick for England. Great I have one of the best fullbacks guarding me. Goalkeeper kicks up to the right and Kelly brings it down kicking back to Alyssa. After 20 mins, both teams scoreless. England has actually had majority of possession. Everytime I get a chance, I'm bombarded by Lucy, and it's driving me nuts. Usually I'm good at 1v1 but Lucy is really putting up a fight.. a good fight. Lindsey passes me the ball, and I make way up field. Lucy gets in front of me, and I fake a right and go left, and she chases after me in the process. When I get to the corner, she gets in front of me, and I nutmeg her, and run around as fast as possible kicking it up, and it passes Carli but Christen tabs it in, passing the goalkeeper. Everyone runs to Christen, and I walk over to the huddle and I tap her shoulder. I'm glad we score but she's not good on my book right now because of Tobin. We go back to formation.

The ref blows the whistle for half time, I walk to the stands where I see the kids and Tobin.

"Hey babies" I tell them, and I reach my hands out for them. Which they grab, and I look up to see Tobin peering over.

"I saw what you did there, nutmegging" she tells me smiling. I see people taking pictures, I realized none of my fans know I've adopted. No one outside the team or staff know. They'll probably think they're my nephews or something.

"Alright guys I'll see you after the 2nd half" I tell them and I swing their arms. I let go and I walk to the locker room.

"We need to talk real quick?" Alex corners me before going into the locker room. I keep a straight face, I'm not giving in. I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm going in the 2nd half, I don't want what we have to affect the game." She tells me quite serious.

"Did you honestly think I would pass on a game because of what we have going on? You know better then that of me." I tell her bumping her shoulder as I walk past her. I go to my cubby and I sit down and listen to Jill. After her speech, we sit to hydrate and rest. Carli walks over to sit next to me, and she wraps her arm around my shoulder.

"You doing okay?" She asks me concerned.

"I'm fine Carlos, nothing else can ruin my day" I tell her lightly smiling. I adjust my slip on shin guards (which one do you prefer? Slip ons or straps?) I pull my socks up, and we start to walk out back to the feild.

We start the game, and I'm back at it again with Lucy we're currently pushing up down to our side because Ellen White has the ball. I run back to help defend, but she kicks it straight into goal. Giving us a tie. After 15 mins, Alex is subbed in for Carli. I high five Carli on her way out. We start the game again. Lindsey's with the ball and she kicks back to Kelly, she decides to kick up towards me, and I bring it down and I kick it over Lucy, and I kick to past the goal but she got her hand on it but she cause it to hit the top of the net. A few people run up to me and hug me, and I look to the stands and I see the kids cheering. Kelly runs up to me

"Hey they're putting it for an own goal" Kelly tells me. The girls let me go and a few of them groan. I feel the same way, we start to disperse and Alex walks up to me

"You know I was fuckin open, you could have passed it to me, this isnt the Sage show!" she tells me angrily, causing a few of the girls to stop on their tracks and look at Alex shocked. I walk up to her, and I get close to her face. She has to look up to me

"Not everything has to be passed to you. If I knew I had it, I fuckin had it. Stop bringing our issues in this damn game. You don't think I've noticed the hesitation when you pass me the ball, maybe you should work on your passes because they're lousy  And by the way you were offsides!!" I yell at her walking away. A few of the England players heard our ranter.

"Isn't that your girlfriend?" I hear a English accent ask me, I look back to Lucy Bronze.

"Honestly, don't know what we are at the moment" I tell her walking back to formation. We start the game again. After 10 mins, we're close to the end of the game. We're running up field. Lindsey passes Christen the ball. She starts running down the right flank and we move up with her. I hear chants on the sidelines closes to me, and when Christen passes the ball to Alex I hear one specifically.

"Yeah baby! Go Alex!" For some reason it caught my attention. It could be anyone but it just got to me, I look to my side to see Servando. I shake it off and I push through Lucy, and Alex kicks the ball hitting the cross bar. After a few mins. The games over 2-1, I shake hands with England's players and my teammates. I walk to where my kids are, and Tobin. They come down, and Conner and Savannah run to me.

"We won!" They tell me hugging me. I wrap my arms around them Tobin comes down.

"We should go out what do you guys think?" I ask the kids, and they nod excitedly.

"Alright let's go" Savannah leans with Tobin, and Conner walks with me. We walk to the tunnel.

"Can you watch them while I go change?" I ask Tobin. She gives me a duh look.

"Don't give me that look, I'm just making sure" I tell her chuckling cause her to laugh. I walk to the locker rooms. I brace myself to be looked at, I know everyone must be curious to know what the hell was going on with Alex. I walk in and Some people eye me. I walk to my cubby, and Mal walks to me.

"Hey um I want to talk to you about something" she tells me, I nod.

"Yeah just wait up, I'm going to change" I tell her. She nods and walks away. I wonder what she has to tell me. I'm going to assume it's about Alex. Why else would she need to talk to me about right?
Once I'm finished I grab my gym bag and I meet Mal by her cubby. She ushers me to follow her. We meet the entrance of the locker rooms.

"So I overheard.. um Servando is trying to make amends with Alex and possibly get back together.. Julie wanted me to tell you that Alex has been out seen with Servando" she tells me. I knew something like this was happening but I didn't want to believe it. My heart just dropped. I don't know how to feel.
