Carli turns the car off, as I stare at her house. I notice a wooden sign, engraved "Hollins & Wilder Family, Welcome". I stare at it, I'm glad they had someone to take them in. I missed some things in their lives, one of the things that hurts. My sister is most likely 20 years old, and I don't even know how her home school prom went or if Portland has won any seasons with her. Is Alex married? Has she found new love? Has Tobin moved on? Are my parents well?

"Hey it's going to be okay?" I'm taken out of my thoughts from a sure voice, from none other then my best friend. I look at her, with uncertainty.

"What am I suppose to say?" Sadness in my voice. She looks down, and I know she doesn't know either. How do you take that back from a child? My attention is caught off by someone opening the front door. My breath is taken back, when I see a very tall Connor, and behind staying not to far.. Savvy.

The windows are tinted so they can't see me, and Carli opens the door.

"Uh hey, um can you guys go back inside for a min?" She asks them, and they look confused but obey. She turns to look at me, and I'm nothing but nervous. They look like they're doing so fine, would it be bad to just walk away?

................................................

"Tobin, you weren't dreaming because someone called me.. sounding exactly like Sage, and She told me you shut the door on her, and she wants to know why we never showed up at the hospital"

"Alex we buried Sage"

"Did we? Because I don't remember any of us opening her casket.. and the items on her were a high school ID, and a pair of headphones.. Tobin why would Sage have that on her?"

"I don't know Alex, but if she was alive.. she would be here!" Tobin raises her voice, because this is the 4th time Alex called her about her belief on Sage's presences. Tobin hangs up on Alex, and angrily throws the phone at the wall. On behalf of everyone else, the people it the most was Tobin, Alex, Carli, the kids, and the team. What hurts the most, was that the last person Sage said goodbye too out of the group.. was in fact Tobin.

She throws herself on to wall, and slides down. Burying her face in her hands, letting the heartache hurt.. tears streaming down her face. The muscles in her stomach tightening as she pours everything out. She thinks about Sage's last words to her.

Flashback

"Tobin, we'll talk when you get home. I'm driving. Be sure to text me when you land!"

"Be careful Sage, I love you"

"I love you Tobin Powell Heath, Bye" she said sadly.

End of Flashback

Tobin clinches to her chest, as her breathing gets harder. She bangs her head so slightly on the wall. She doesn't here the front door open. Someone bursts into her room.

"It's okay Tobin, I'm here. Just breathe with me okay?" Holding her to her chest, letting Tobin focus on her breathing.

.........................................

"Hey Kayla, we're having team bonding. Want to come?"

"Uh.. no not tonight, tell them thank you" Mykayla tells her roommate, who doesn't leave the room. Instead sits next to her teammate. Seeing that her teammate is holding a picture of her late beloved Older sister, wrapping her arms a younger version of Mykayla. Debating whether to intrude, but as a teammate she decided too stay in the room to comfort her friend.

"Tell me.. what was she like?"

Mykayala looks up to her teammate, who shows compassion in her eyes.

"She was better then what people thought and more. You could never let her see you sad, because she would do anything to get you to smile." Mykayla smiles to herself, her teammate Sarah happy to see a small smile creep up.

"Tell me more"

She scoots beside her, as they both look at her sisters picture.

"You know when you're about to go on a rollercoaster, and your so scared?.. you're not alone but you can't help the butterflies in your stomach, when you feel like giving up and walking out of it.. a hand grabs yours. You turn and see her smile, assuring you it's going to be okay. Then the ride moves, and your nerves build up, all while she tells you a couple of jokes to get you to calm down. Then the ride goes to the highest tip, and you look at her. She gives you a smile, and the roller coaster falls.. and you scream, while she does too. Then you laugh, realizing it wasn't so bad.. Life was like that with Sage.. you knew you were going to be okay, as long as she was there."

"Sounds like she was pretty amazing"

"She wasn't always in the picture, but she was there when it counted the most. I know she hates herself for not being there.. but truth is.. she was. Knowing she was living out her dream, I knew I could too." They stay quiet for a while, and all Mykayla can think about was her sister. Wondering if her sister was somehow looking after her from above. Wondering what was Sage telling God about her, was she telling him her favorite stories with her little sister.

Flashback

"As long as I'm alive, no one can hurt you" Sage tells her as their feet touch the wet sand of the beach in every step.

"I appreciate it big Sis, but I can handle pretty good on my own" Mykayla showing off her muscles. Sage laughs and wraps her arm around the younger Wilder.

"Yeah you're strong, and don't think of yourself any less. That doesn't mean it'll stop me from protecting my little sister" she tells her, kissing her forhead. It was right before Sage was moving states again, to Houston. Even farther from the place they called home.

End of Flashback

"I would give anything to see her one last time and tell her.. that I turned out pretty amazing.. and it was because of her"

............................................

"I guess I miss you a little more everyday that goes by, wishing you were here to tell you how crazy I've been getting. I keep thinking theres a slight hope that you're alive. Tobin was right.. if you were.. you'd be with us. It's been 2 years.. but it feels like you've only been gone one day. The pain in my heart, feels fresh" Alex talks to herself staring at a picture of Sage, hoping she's being heard by her. That she will one day send a little message or sign, letting Alex know she never strayed too far.

"Hey honey"

Alex looks up, being held close in a tight embrace. She leans in, taking the warmth while her heart feels heavy and cold.

"I miss her too"
