It's 2am, and for some reason I can't sleep. I check my phone, I have a few notifications. I scroll through it for a while until I grow tired of my phone. I put it down and I just stare at the ceiling in this dark room. I get up, and I grab my phone and my keycard. I turn around to where Alex is sleeping, I walk out the door.

Alex POV

Guess I wasn't the only one not sleeping, wonder what kept her up. She's probably going to Carli's room.

Sage POV

I knock on Carli's hotel room, she's sharing with the Mal. I wait for a minute before the door opens. A sleepy Mal answers it. She groans

"Carli your adult child is here" she says over her shoulder. I chuckle and I kiss her forehead before walking past her to Carli. She sits up from her bed, and she looks at me concerned.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine, just can't sleep" I tell her, and I put my phone and keycard on the stand and I take my slides off. I go under the covers of her bed.

"Is it because you're sharing a room with Alex?" Mal speaks up with a sleepy voice. I totally forgot she was in here for a second.

"Maybe so" I say, and Carli wraps her arm around me, and I melt into her embrace. I put my hand on her forearm. I start to feel my eyelids get heavy, and my breathing is steadier.

Carli POV

I hear Sage lightly snore in my arms, and I'm content knowing she's finally sleeping.

"She means a lot to you huh?"

"More then she will ever know" I respond to Mal. I look down to Sage and I kiss her forehead. I'm not close with my parents or siblings, but Brian and Sage.. they make an amazing family to me.

"You girls remind me of my sister and I. Gosh I miss her, I'd give anything to see her right now" Mal speaks up whispering, careful not to wake Sage up.

"I'm sure she misses you too Mal" I tell her.

"What about you? Your siblings?"

"We aren't close"

"Oh I'm sorry. Well at least you got Sage" she tells me. She's right, I got Sage. I met Sage in New York. We played for the Flash, and she was our first pick. Her first day at practice she elbowed me in the face, I was not happy about it. Afterwards, she apologized and handed me an ice pack, and bought me lunch. Who was I to decline free food? Now she's my best friend, and my family. There's nothing I wouldn't do for her.

Sage POV

I wake up being a little spoon. Feeling strong arms around me, and I pick my phone up to see what time it is. It's 7:42am, I look over to see Mal also asleep. I turn my body around, and I'm still in Carli's arms. My phone starts ringing, and I turn over and quickly answer it so it doesn't wake the girls up. It was facetime

"Hey baby" I whisper to Tobin's beautiful adorable face on my screen.

"Morning Sagey, I see you barely just woke up" she says chuckling, I yawn and nod.

"I'm not ready to get up" I tell her, and I feel Carli move around.

"Are you in bed with someone?" Tobin asks me curiously with her eyebrows scrunched.

"Yeah I'm with Carli. I couldn't sleep last night so I went to her room" I tell her, she nods. I notice she's in the kitchen.

"What are you doing Tobs"

"Making breakfast for the kids, I also have to go to the store after I drop them off. I'm bringing orange slices, water and gatorade today at Conners practice." She tells me as she moves around our kitchen, and I see she's making eggs. She's such a mom, I love it. I don't want to raise my precious kids with some one other then Tobin.

"Are they still sleeping?" I ask her, they should be awake by now, they need to be at school in 40 mins.

"No they're just in the backyard taking Copper and Zeus to the bathroom." She tells me, as she walks to the slide door, checking up on them. She smiles and calls them over.

"Hey my loves!" I say to them as they come into camera view. They get happy, Tobin walks to the couch. Where they can sit and I can see all of them. She places me on the glass table we have in the living room.

"I want you guys to have a good day today, I'll call later when you're out of school to see how it went. Go eat your breakfast. I love you" I tell them, after I'm done talking to them. It's just Tobin and I.

"How was it with Alex?"

"It was okay, we didn't argue. We were calm, I think her and I will be in a good place soon" I tell her, she nods understanding. A palm lands on my face. I hear Tobin start laughing.

"The world is trying to sleep" Carli tells me in a raspy sleeping voice.

"No Mrs. Hollins, the world's already awake. You just need to get up" I tell her pushing her face back. She groans, and I advert my attention back to my phone.

"I miss you Tobs"

"It's only been two days" she tells me chuckling. If I was there I would playfully hit her shoulder. Being at camp without her is so weird. I miss her and the kids, since I'm always around them.

"Oh and by the way, your mom called and she's coming over.. with your dad" she tells me. Fuck. My parents still don't know about Tobin and I, or even the kids. I'm not even there.

"When are they coming over?"

"Tomorrow in the afternoon, I'm going to pick them up" she tells me as she walks over to the kitchen, and tells the kids to put their dishes in the sink. She walks to Savannah's room, and helps her with her outfit. She loves when Tobin picks out her outfit. Its cute.

"You haven't told your parents about your family have you?" Carli asks me

"Nope. I'm pretty sure if I told them, they would move to Portland to be closer to the kids. My mom would also be taking me to a bridal boutique, and rushing my dad and I into the aisle so I can marry Tobin" I tell her, it makes her chuckle. My moms always trying to get me to marry and settle down. Little does she know I sorta have. My dad will probably be suddenly over protective of me with Tobin, and also for my kids. They've never asked me if I'd have kids of my own, but I did tell them that I would adopt sometime in my life. I let Tobin go since she'll be packing lunch for the kids and taking them to school. I leave Carli's room and walk into mine, I quietly enter since I don't know if Alex is awake or sleeping. I tiptoe in and I see she's still laying in bed, with napkins spread around her bed. Maybe she got allergies.
