Chapter 44

"Hey hey come in" I grab my sister and usher her in. Carli puts her book down and walks over to us, to bring Mykayla into a hug.

"What happened?" I ask her getting closer to her.

"Her brother texted" I hear and turn around to see Mal walking in with a phone in her hand. She hands it to me. I see my brothers message.

"Its going to be okay" I tell my sister as I hug her. I'll just call my mom, hopefully he's okay. I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial my moms number.

"Hello sweetie" she sounds tired.
"Hey mama hows dad?" I ask her. I hear shuffling.
"Your dads fine, he went out late dirt biking with your brother. I guess he didnt drift right and he broke his arm" my mom tells me, and I start to get calmer. My sister relaxes also.

"Had us worried mom but we're glad he's okay!" I tell her.

"He's fine, I'll let him know you called. We're very proud of you girls! We love you!" She tells me. I know my sister can hear because she chuckles.

"We'll let you rest ma, have a goodnight. Love you" we hang up and I pull apart from Mykayla.

"Everything's okay" I tell her, she nods and puts her head on my shoulder.  After that scare, Mal takes my sister back to her room. I lay back in my bed, Carli goes to hers. I'm so excited for tomorrow that I feel like I can't sleep. Carli turns off the light eventually, I'll find my sleep.

"WAKE UP BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!"  I hear someone scream into my ear. Then I hear horns and confetti poppers. I groan and open my eyes. The whole entire team is in my room

"Why are you guys up so early! Ugh!" I scream and throw a pillow, and I hear someone screech. Then I feel 4 pair of arms on my legs, and drag me towards them. I grab the headboard before they do.

"She's so fuckin strong!" I hear Ashlyn scream out.

"I got this" I hear a raspy voice say, that's my baby. I feel her put her arms around my waist and start tickling me

"No no! Okay okay I'm up I'm up!!" I scream between laughs. Alex let's go of my sides. I sit up and pout. I see Tobin sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Toby!" I scream and I hug her. I pull away from her. Carli comes out of the crowd with cake.

"Happy birthday Sagey!" She says excitedly. They whole teams starts to sing happy birthday to me. Alex on my side. I wrap my hand around her waist. I blow out the candles and everyone claps.

"Thank you guys!" I tell them. I get up to hug everyone.

My morning was spent well with a good breakfast and with my team. Alex beside me, and Carli along with my sister and Tobin. Important people in my life right now. Right now. After breakfast I walk to the conference room to talk to Jill.

"Hey it's the birthday girl, what can I do for you?" She asks me. She's on her computer.

"I need talk to you about something that I've decided to do." She gives me her attention.

"I'm adopting 2 kids today" I tell her. She gives me a shocked look.

"Why that all of a sudden?" She asks me putting taking her glasses off. Hopefully she understand, either way still adopting the kids

"I'm not getting any younger, If you haven't noticed. I just turned 28. I want kids and I don't want to wait so long" I tell her. She gives me a smile.
