Chapter 5

I walk behind Tobin as we walk into the locker rooms. I spot a few players I recognize, like Hayley Raso and Mallory Webber.

"Hey it's the newbie!" I hear coming from behind us, being greeted by Lindsey Horan.

"I'm Lindsey Horan",
"Sage, Sage Wilder" I tell her in return, shaking each others hand. A few players come over me and introduce themselves as we walk out to the pitch. I finally spot my new coach. I walk over to him and greet him finally face to face.

"We're happy to have you in our team, and hopefully you can make yourself at home here with these girls" he looks at me a smiles, looking back towards the girls who are starting practice.

"It's a pleasure, I'll play my best and I think I'm already getting along with most of the girls" I say to him as a few trainers come over to us and hand me my new kit for the team

"Thank you!" I say the the trainers as they walk away.

"Go on out there and show them how good you are Wilder" coach waves me off. "Also we'll be playing you as a Forward, if we ever need you in Midfield, we'll play you there" he tells me as I walk away. I give him a thumbs up and a smile. I walk over to the group of girls.

7 girls walk over to me, "Hey stick with us, and we'll make sure your play is worth while, I'm Allie Long" she comes to me and hugs me.
"Nice to meet you, I'm sure we'll all be good friends " I say to Tobin Heath, Adriana Franch, Christine Sinclair, Lindsey Horan, and Emily Sonnet, and Meghan Klimgeberg and of course Allie Long. I got back into the locker rooms and change into the training kit. I walk back out to the pitch

We start practice PKs, and Corners. Most set up peices. Eventually we start to do sprints and we take a few shots on Adriana. After we finish our main practice, we get into a 7v7 scrimmage. My team was

Tobin               Lindsay              Allie

Meghan    Katherine        Meleana

That's how our line up looked. It was all back and forth, no one scoring just yet. I've got a touch on it a few times but never breaking the backline. Meleana passes it over to katherine, kathrine dribbles it over to Meghan. Meghan kicks to Lindsey, Lindsey trying to get through Celeste Boureille that's on her tail right now. She kicks it back to katherine. Katherine tries moving the ball up the field to Allie. Allie runs past the defenders. She was just about to kick towards me, but she kicked a little to ahead of me and Adriana grabs it before I got to it. After a while, we win 5-4. We head back into the locker rooms to change out.
I check my phone and see that's it only 4:35. I grab my gym bag and wait for the girls.

"Hey I'm happy your on team! We all have played against you, and you're pretty good. Glad to have you on our side now" Lindsey tells me walking towards me as I wait by the door.

"This is definitely a change of scenery but I'm sure I can get use to this. And thank you, I think you guys are pretty good too" I tell her with a chuckle. "Carli has told us a lot about you, she has faith in you. She gives a lot of faith but not the way she gives it you." She tells me with a small smile as with both walk out together to the parking lot.
"That's a good thing right?" I question her. "Don't think she'll ever really say this but I'm sure she adores you like a little sister" I smile at the thought of that being true. "I'll see you tomorrow, I have to get some errands done, it was finally nice meeting you" she says and walks over to her car. I stand there still patiently waiting for Tobin and Meghan.

"Catch me I'm so tired!" I hear from behind me, and someone jumps on top of me. I grab them as fast I can before they fall. Already recognizing the voice, I knew it was Meghan. I carry to her car as Tobin follows close behind. We get to her car and she gives me her keys. She lays in the back of the car. I sit in the drivers seat surprised she only met me today and she trust me with her car. Tobin puts our bags in the trunk and sits in the passenger's seat. Tobin pointing a few things out for me as I drive back to the apartment.

Once we get there, we head inside and take turns taking a shower.  All 3 of us make dinner. "We did a pretty good job you guys!" I tell them. They high five each other and say "hell yeah we did". We finish up dinner and clean up. Meghan heads to her room, and that leaves Tobin and I. We sit on the couch watching TV. She ends up falling asleep and her head is on my shoulder. I keep watching TV, until I assume it's time to rest. I check my phone, its 8:30 and it's been a long day.

I lightly shake Tobin awake. She grunts and moves to the otherside. "Tobin I really need you to wake up, come on please" I shake her shoulder again. "Hmm noo" she says this time pulls me towards her, and she wraps her legs around my waist. "Tobin we aren't going to fit in this couch, come on wake up so I can make this into a bed goofball" I blow into her neck hopefully it'll tickle her. Turns out it does, she starts to giggle "stop it tickles" she yells at me as she laughs. "Fine fine I'm up I'm up" she lets go of me, and I get up to pull her up with me. I pulled her up so fast, we were now only a couple centimeters from each other faces.

Our noses brushed against one another. I chuckle and grab a pillow that was by her and smack her in the face with it lightly. We get the bed ready. I turn the TV off and get under the covers, this time it was only a little awkward because of the incident that happened only a couple mins earlier. I brush it off and fall asleep quickly.

Should I put Tobin and Sage together?
