Chapter 25
It has been two weeks since the whole disciplinary program started and honestly, it was the worst thing to have ever happened to this school. It was completely and utterly just one big overreaction.
Part of the program was handing out demerits to any students who did anything deemed as 'breaking the rules'. Getting ten demerits meant you got a punishment that was basically glorified detention.
I, personally, could handle all the punishments that were handed out. Apart from being separated from Jules. But not including that, I've probably been given all the punishments a headmaster could give to their student since Mr. McCabe stopped giving me detention.
That didn't mean I was okay with this whole program, especially when my friends were getting punished for the smallest things. Mack made the mistake of not doing his homework one time, only because he was studying for a test for another class, and he got ten demerits for that. And his punishment for those demerits was two hundred push-ups.
Two hundred push-ups for not doing his homework, which wasn't even worth much of his grade.
How pathetic could this program be?
To make things worse, I've been trying to take the sensible and responsible route by attempting to talk to Mr. McCabe about this fail of a disciplinary program, but I couldn't. Every single time I tried to, Mr. Clutterbuck was in the office too. I even tried telling Mr. Clutterbuck that I had to talk to Mr. McCabe about personal and family issues but Mr. Clutterbuck wouldn't allow it.
Yeah, he wouldn't allow me to talk to my own grandfather.
So I guess I was going to give up on the sensible and responsible route and do things my usual, chaotic way.
And I didn't care if I got any of these ridiculous punishments. I was going to make sure Mr. Clutterbuck either realizes this disciplinary program wasn't that good or that he would quit and we would get a better representative.
Hopefully, one that was a bit more understanding.
So now, I just had to figure out the perfect thing that would make Mr. Clutterbuck quit or realize the program wasn't worth it.
And I didn't want this to be just an average prank. If Mr. Clutterbuck thought this disciplinary program was going to fix the academic standing of this school, I was going to show him exactly what I was capable of without the program.
I was sitting in the science lap, flipping through my notebook of research and possible experiments I wanted to try. There had to be something in here that I could use in here.
One of my experiments popped out on my page. This. This was perfect.
Maybe instead of trying to get Mr. Clutterbuck to quit, I could use some blackmail instead. And this was just the thing I needed to find something I could use against Mr. Clutterbuck.
I started getting the experiment ready, hoping that I would actually succeed this time. The past few times haven't been the greatest. I just had to make sure I got all the equations right this time.
While I was working on it and it was close to being finished, the door to the science lab walked it. However, I was too busy working on the experiment to see who walked in.
"There you are," Jules said so I looked up to see him, Maple, Everly, Mack, and Mateus walk into the science lab. "We've been looking everywhere for you."
