BIG BROTHER

- a short imagine in which jin forgets to wake you up for school

"Jinnie oppa!" You scream, stumbling down the stairs as it takes a while for your body to wake up, your eyes wide in panic. You slide into the kitchen, bewildered by the fact that he's standing calmly at the stove, taking a cooked pancake off a pan.

"Morning, sis," he chirps, passing you a warm plate of pancakes, an ocean of syrup over the top. You swallow thickly, looking between the plate of breakfast and Jin's cheerful expression, lips parted in disbelief. His smile falters when he notices your odd behaviour and takes the plate from you, putting it to the side with a frown.

"What's wrong?" He gently asks, running his charmingly crooked fingers through your unruly hair in an attempt to calm you down. As if on instinct, you puff out your cheeks, sighing heavily as you avoid his worried gaze.

"Wasn't I supposed to go to school like an hour ago?" You mumble, fiddling with your hands childishly. There's silence and for a minute, you think the world has stopped. Looking up innocently, you see Jin pursing his lips together stupidly, breathing in deeply through his nose as if he's trying to keep something in.

He's trying not to laugh at me.

"What?" You spit, folding your arms across your chest in anger. He finally lets his laugh escape, head falling back as he whole heartedly laughs at your blunder. You can only watch, embarrassment uncomfortably climbing up the back of your neck.

"Y/N, it's Saturday," he chuckles, affectionately patting your shoulder. Your cheeks heat up, teeth worrying your bottom lip as you look to the floor.

"Oops," you whisper, smiling sheepishly at him when he starts laughing again. Shaking your head, you go to grab the plate, hissing when he slaps your hand away.

"Go shower first. You look a mess. I'll keep them warm for you. Oh, and use that cherry blossom shampoo please! It smells nice," he rambles, shoving you out of the kitchen. You sigh and jog up to the bathroom, desperately hoping that the rest of your Saturday isn't as embarrassing as your morning.
