THE LITTLE CAFE- in which you and jin make it a habit to occasionally meet at this little cafe, the boy having something special planned for your next visit. third part of RUDE and NOT SO BAD; requested by LoveBangtan_Girl
It's funny how two people who once never spoke to each other can become so close in the span of a few months. It was earlier into the year that you had finally finished that project with Jin and handed it in, the realisation of it kind of sad as it meant that finding an excuse to hang out with Jin would be harder.
Only, he was sad about the unfortunate realisation too and wasted no time in inviting you out for coffee the very next day.
Since then, it's become like a habit for the two of you to meet up for coffee in that same coffee shop and talk, occasionally saying hi to Namjoon as he comes in for his shifts. You're really grateful for the time you have with Jin, every word that's shared between the two of you strengthening that friendship.
In fact, you've noticed that with every day that passes, Jin becomes more and more approachable.
He now walks into classes with a smile and voluntarily joins group discussions to share his opinions. Your classmates soon found themselves gravitating towards him, claiming the friendship that he so willingly throws out at them with open arms. However, he never forgets to remind you that his positive change is because of you and that you'll always be his number one.
Of course, whenever he does bring something like that up, you do try your hardest to ignore the way your heart pounds against your chest and the way your stomach churns with a million excited butterflies.
The little table in the coffee shop that has practically been reserved for the two of you has become the home to many light-hearted, heart-warming and eye-opening conversations. You treasure the spot so much that it even has its own place in your heart, right beside the growing spot for Jin.
You see, you never thought you'd end up falling for someone like him but then, he turned out to be completely different to what you were expecting.
It seems that just like people, feelings can change too.
Jin couldn't agree more.
He would've never pictured himself being this open and affectionate towards anyone, let alone towards the beautiful girl sitting in one of his classes. He admits that he was kind of glad the two of you got put together as he was sure you'd be able to put his lack of social skills behind you and work on getting to know him.
He figured that it wasn't working the minute you had stood up to leave.
That's when he decided to take you out to his favourite coffee shop. He recalled someone telling him that girls like it when guys become a little more personal with them. What's more personal than visiting a coffee shop everyday just to see a friend?
From there, everything just fell into place and he soon found himself getting addicted to the sound of your voice and the scent of your bubblegum smelling shampoo. He honestly would've sat there and listened to you speak for as long as fate would allow him to. Now, he gets to listen to your light and gentle voice every day with the calming noises of the coffee shop playing as the perfect background music to your words.
He props himself up on his headboard with a longing sigh, his heart beginning to ache as thoughts of you begin to make him miss you. He frowns in loneliness and picks up his phone, the bright light of the screen momentarily blinding him as he scrolls down to your contact, finger hovering over the button.
