Chapter 16

"Morning" says Finn as he hands her coffee

"Morning" replied Millie as she got in the car. She was wearing a Chanel oversize sweater with a pair of black leggings and a pair of all white Chanel sneakers. 

"Finn you missed the turn" said Millie after he didn't turn left

"We're not going to school today, we're ditching"

"No we are not! Turn back around"

"No" said Finn as he shook his head and kept his eyes on the road

Millie sighed out of frustration but then later on ended up falling asleep since Finn said it would be a long drive. While driving he couldn't help but glance at her every so often looking at her doll face. 

"You know it's rude to stare" said Millie surprising Finn

"I wasn't staring" said Finn looking ahead but obviously not convincing Millie

"We're almost there" said Finn to which Millie just nodded as she looked out the window.

After 30 minutes later they had finally arrived to the destination. 

"Why are we at the beach?"

"Why not. Come on let's go" Finn got out of the car as so did Millie. They walked towards the water.

"Finn it's so cold" said Millie when the water touched her feet. The feeling of the cold water didn't help with it being cloudy and being a bit windy.

"Stop whining" replied Finn while going in a bit deeper. Millie looked at him and eventually got used the the cold water as she stood next to him.

"Why did you bring me here?" questioned Millie

"I just thought it would make you feel better. I know that you've been going through things, and i know how much you love the beach so i though it would.. i don't know.."

"Thank you" said Millie looking at him with a smile.

Flashback-1 week earlier

Millie was currently in her bathroom standing in front of  her white sink vanity looking at herself in the reflection. She had her phone in her left hand lit up with a message that was sent unknown. On her right hand she had a blade placed in between her pointer finger and thumb. She had placed down her phone on the counter and moved the blade closer to her skin. She breathed in ready to cut into her skin when her phone lit up with a message from Finn. She exhaled and put down the blade while she picked up her phone reading the message. 

Finn: Movie night?

She really did not feel like watching a movie or hang out with him so she just replied with no and maybe another time but not even a second went by when he replied back

Finn: I'm outside

Finn: I'm in your room

She quickly hid the blade when a knock came from outside the bathroom door. She quickly wiped her dried/stained tears from her face. She looked at herself in the mirror before leaving.

"I told you that I didn't want to have a movie night" said Millie as she entered the bedroom.

"I know but I brought your favorite movie plus there are no parties to go to tonight so.."

"Fine. Did you at least bring snacks?" she said as she sat down on the bed

"Of course" he said as he showed her the bag filled with her favorite candy.
