March was slowly coming to an end and soon the beginning of April would arrive. Millie was getting ready to have a session with her mother who she hasn't seen for a while. She was also told that her father was going to be there which seemed odd to her because she didn't think her mother would have told him. In fact her mother has only told Mrs. Wolfhard about her being treated everyone else thinks she's in France finishing her studies.

"Hey what are you doing here?" she said as she saw Finn standing outside the room where she has her session with Dr.Owen.

"Did he come?" asked Finn making her confused

"Who?" but then it clicked Finn was the one who called her father to come to this session it was him.

"Finn, stop"she sighs "You can't keep trying to make things better. You can't solve everything. Most importantly you can't put a family back together. It just, it doesn't work like that" she says letting a tear fall down.

He's silent "Thank you for trying but it's probably better off like this" she says she squeezes his hand before heading inside to the room. She was glad that he tried, he at least tried but this time it he couldn't help fix it.

Because of Finn she now had at least a little amount hope that she will recover but that can always change. She wanted to get better not just for herself but for her friends and most importantly for Finn. She never would have thought that the boy she "hated" would make her have hope.

"I'm glad you could make it today Mrs. Brown" said Dr. Owens since she has been cancelling every time on him for the "family" therapy session.

"Yes me too, well i'm here now that's the important thing" Millie rolled her eyes once her mother had finished.

"For 16 years you were a normal, happy girl. What happened that made you stop eating?"

She was silent for a minute until she spoke "Iris and Maddie happened"

Dr. Owen was confused since he didn't know who she was talking about but her mother certainly did.

"It started around November when I started getting those messages calling me worthless, fat, pig. I tried not to think to much of it, I thought it would have just pass but it didn't" her eyes began to water. "So then that night when we got home from dinner with my parents, I decided to throw up the food and ever since then I began doing that every day." she took a deep breath "It got easier you know, all I cared about was making it another day without eating"

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" asked her mother acting as if she cared.

"You never asked" she said looking her mother right in the eye.

"Well that's in the past now" her mother said waving it off as if it was nothing, it didn't matter to her as if she wasn't another person that led Millie to starve herself.

"I'm glad she's getting better. You know everything is okay now" her mother finished saying.

"That's bullshit" spoke Millie "Your pretending everything is okay when it's not" she says truthfully.

She wasn't just talking about her ignoring that her daughter has anorexia but the other problems that she is facing. She is tired of her mother ignoring reality. The reality is that Millie is being treated, her own husband is gone and instead of her ignoring it she needs to start accepting it.

"He's gone." says Millie in a hurt mad tone "You don't, you don't understand he was suppose to come back." she says while crying. Her dad was never supposed to leave, he never should had abandon her, but he did and that's what hurt and broke her.

"Everyone ends up leaving" she whispers

"Rise and shine" said Sadie as she barged into Millie's room

"It's 7:00 am what are you doing here?" she asked as she lifted up her head from the pillow

"Well Finn told us the exciting news that you're going to be able to come back to school with us  at least for a couple of days before graduation."

"Oh"

"I'm just so excited!" she said as she clasped her hands together. She then walked towards the bed and sat at the edge.

"I know that it's been a tough year for you and you think that things won't get better but I think it's time for you to actually let Finn in"

"What do you mean let Finn in?"

"As in just tell him how you truly feel about him so fillie can happen."

"He knows how I feel. He's my friend, well my best friend"

"Come on Millie you don't have to lie to me. I know how much you like him. In fact you might be in love with him"

"I am not"

Sadie gave her a look making her sighed defeatedly "Okay maybe I do actually like Finn" before Sadie could squeal she spoke again "I just- He deserves better"

"You both deserve each other"

"You know, It just makes sense that if two people really like each other than they should just get together." she said making Millie smile. (If you know who said this.. I seriously love you)

"You don't know if he actually likes me" she says making Sadie scoff

"Everyone knows how much he likes you. He's the first one to leave school just to come visit you. Every time he sees something that you like he comments about it and mentions you. I swear he never stops talking about you" finishes Sadie and by now Millie is blushing and smiling as to what she had said.

"Now come on get dress"

"Why?" she asked the redhead

"We're going to have a girls day. Just Millie and Sadie"

"And me" said Mia. Sadie wasn't allowed to take Millie out alone so Mia decided to tag along so that Millie was able to hang out with Sadie.

The two best friends spent the day catching up,shopping, making new memories. Millie started feeling normal again. She truly believed that things were going to get better for her but we'll see.

I just want to thank you all for being patient with me ik it's probably annoying of me to keep on saying that I need to take a break and all but i'm back and by next week I will be on break officially so I can write and finish this story already.

Sooooo tesler-mahbae followed me I seriously began to fan girl over her like no joke. Also, -praiz is literally such a sweetheart like wowww.
