Chapter 27

Finn waited outside the hospital for a couple of minutes looking at the box of chocolates in his hands. He sighed before getting up and walking towards his car. He got in his car and drove home. Once he arrived his mother called him.

"Finn"

"Yeah"

"How did it go?" she asked as he appeared in the kitchen with a sad face

"Oh baby come here" she said pulling him into a hug as he held on to her tighter. He felt awful for just thinking that Millie would actually eat the chocolates.

It was finally February 19th, the day that Millie Bobby Brown was born.

She had gained 3 pounds due to the feeding tube so she was off it and has been since 2 days ago. Mia came in wishing her a happy birthday as long as Olivia and her friends.

She hadn't received a message from Finn and she felt like he had forgotten or maybe he was ignoring her for what had happened on valentines day. She fiddled with the ring that she had gotten herself to match with Finn's. 

By 5 Finn had walked into her room with roses, balloons and a koala teddy bear. She tackled him into a hug wrapping her arms on his neck, she was on her tippy toes because she could swear that every time she see's him he just keeps getting taller and taller. She whispered a sorry to him but he just told her it's was okay to not worry about it. 

"Happy birthday mills" he says handing her the balloons and roses to which she placed by her bed and put the koala bear on the bed.

"Come on" he says grabbing her hand into his leading her out of the room and out of the hospital.

"Finn, I can't leave-"

"Don't worry I got permission to take you out"

"Okay so where are you taking me?"

"It's a surprise"he says making a smile appear on her face. 

They made it to a roller skating rink.

"Why'd you bring me here?"

"You always wanted to go roller skating"

"Oh god you remember that?" she said. When she had mentioned it they weren't even friends.

"Come on" he said pulling her towards the rink

"I don't know how to skate?" she said shyly

"Me either. Let's figure it out together" she took his hand into hers going in the ring. At first they fell but then started to get a hang of it. It was filled with laughs and smiles. The rink was soon closing so they decided to leave. They made it to a restaurant...

"You still have to follow your meal plan"he said as they were seated. She thought that today she would be able to escape it but of course not reality set in and this was her life now.

"It took me a long time to convince the doctor to allow you to go out tonight" he says as he notices that she became nervous. "Please Mills" she nodded understanding. They soon ordered and talked while they waited for the food to come.

The food arrived, she wanted to vomit. She felt his eyes on her, she didn't want to tell him that his stare was making her uncomfortable so she picked up the fork poking pasta into it before shoving it in her mouth. She took another couple of spoonful until she was almost done. She had only left a little bit left over but finished her veggies. She gulped down 2 cups of water hoping that it would erase the taste of the pasta but it didn't.

She waited 5 minutes until she told him that she needed to go to the restroom.

"Finn really i just need to pee. I'll be right back" she says after he had told her that he would go with her.

Once she made it in she threw up the food, tears formed in her eyes. Why can't she just be normal again.

"Hey are you okay in there?" Finn asked as he was standing outside. She flushed the toilet and made her way out of the stall as she washed her hands she knew that he knew. You could just tell his face was full of disappointment.

"Finn-"

"Don't" he says walking out and her following behind. They had made it in the car, the ride back was silent. She wanted to explain but she decided not to.

"I'm sorry" she says when he parked outside the hospital.

"Nothing about this is okay Mills, nothing" his voice was soft probably because he was on the verge of tears. He hated seeing her in there being treated, he just wanted everything to go back to the way it was. He just wanted Millie back.

"I really am sorry" she says getting out of the car and making her way back into the hospital. She was almost at the entrance when Finn stopped her. He took a step forward, his face only an inch away from hers, she flutters her eyes closed when his lips make contact on her cheek making her her body feel warm.

"Good night" she goes back inside to her room. How she would have liked if it were his lips instead. 

That night, that's when she finally realized that..

Her world was slowly falling apart

I've reread this chapter like 10 times or more and the more i read it the more i actually hate it, fillie is cute, but like then the ending was like oh
