Chapter 39

They were sitting in the sand, she was laying on his chest while his arms were wrapped around her.

They talked, admired the view and the ocean as the waves kept coming back and forth and seeing seagull pass by. Finn kept telling her these bad jokes and she couldn't stop laughing and smiling, she was happy.

"Happiness looks gorgeous on you mill" he says as he caresses her cheek making her blush.

"We should start heading back" she says as she stands up and grabs his arm helping him up and make their way back to his car.

They were all were in school practicing the graduation walk down. Millie was in the front alone, since her last name was a B and everyone else were either in the middle or near the end. She hated how close she was to iris and how close maddie was to finn, she can see her trying to flirt with him and he seemed less interested. 

Finally after 4 hours of practicing and getting a run down of everything they were excused to leave. Millie and Sadie were dress shopping for their graduation dress. They have been at the mall for almost 2 hours and Millie was growing impatient.

"What about this one?" Sadie holds up a yellow dress making Millie shake her head in disgust.

They kept browsing until a dress caught Millie's attention it was a simple white dress that had a somehow bowing the front making it tight on the waist an then letting it be flowy. She smiles and goes try it on which she ends up liking it and buys it. Sadie goes with a light faded white with small details.

Finally they both left the mall, happy with their purchase and went back home. Sadie dropped off Millie and then left to go with Caleb of course.

When she entered she went to the kitchen and grabbed an apple and then went to her room setting down the shopping bag on top of her bed. She takes of her sweater as the apple is in her mouth. She continues eating the apple until she hears a pebble hit her window making her smile.

She opens up her window seeing Finn's head poking out of his making her softly laugh. 

"How did shopping go?" he asks 

"Good I found a dress after 3 hours of looking" "Want to come over?" she didn't have to finish that sentence for him to nod his head rapidly as he says yes. She closes her window and goes downstairs to meet him. Just as she stepped on the last step the door bell rang making her run to the door.

She opens the door happily hugging Finn. She pulls away to let him enter.

"So what do you want to do?" she asks making him shrug his shoulder. He doesn't care what they do as long as he's by her side.

"How about we bake?" she's always wanted to bake something like a cake or cupcakes. Finn nods his head making her happily clap her hands together.

She was glad her mother wasn't home even though the maids were working they never interrupted Millie whenever Finn was over since they wanted to give them their space. 

They start getting out the ingredients placing them on the island counter. After 15 minutes of them mixing the ingredients and pouring the batter into cupcake holders they were finally in the oven baking.

While they waited for the cupcakes to be done they sang and danced to the music that was blaring in the kitchen.

"Should we invite the others? We can have a sleepover." she says as she starts frosting the cupcakes.

Finn nods as he tries to decorate some cupcakes but is doing a terrible job at it. He then grabs the cupcake and smearing it on Millie's face making her gasp.

They then start throwing flour at each other, and smearing frosting at each other making a mess in the kitchen and on themselves.They start laughing hysterically, Debby then comes in seeing the mess.

"You two go get cleaned up and i'll clean up the mess and finish the cupcakes" she says making Millie give her a apologetic smile.

While Millie took a shower Finn texted the group and then went to his house to clean himself up as well. When he entered his house his mom looks at him for a moment since he was covered in flour and frosting. She walks past him not wanting to ask what happened. 

Finally the whole gang was at Millie's house in the theater room watching a movie. They had a table filled with snacks like popcorn, nachos, sour patch kids, licorice, m&m's, and many more.

That night was filled with new memories as they all let it sink in that after tomorrow everything will change.

They all cherished their last moments together since everything was about to change.
