Chapter 38

She wakes up to Finn not beside her making her frown. She gets up getting ready and changed into a light baby pink  strapless tap that was tight at the top and the bottom was flowy. She paired it with denim jeans and vans. 

She then goes downstairs where she sees him making her breakfast. She smiles at the sight of him in deep concentration while cooking. Once he see's her he smiles and sets her breakfast in front of her.

"You made me breakfast?"she asks to which he nods 

"Thank you and thank you for not burning down the place." She ate her french toast and oatmeal that Finn had made her.

"Finn, Sadie is taking me to school" she says making a slight frown form on his face.

"I thought I was"

"I know. I told her that but she said 'tell Finn that i am taking you to school he better not even try to argue' truth was she said boyfriend instead of Finn but of course she wouldn't say that, he will never be her boyfriend.

"Alright then i'll see u at school then" he says as he starts to walk away

"Your not going to eat breakfast?" she asked in a sad tone

He shakes his head "I'll see you at school" he kisses the top of her head making butterflies in her stomach.

She grabs his wrist as she pulls him closer to him. She wraps her arm around him, hugging him. she would much rather have Finn drive her but Sadie is very insistent that she always manages to get her way.

"I'll see you in 30 minutes okay mill. Don't be scared" she nods as she releases from the hug giving him a kiss on the cheek. 

She goes back to finishing her breakfast as Finn leaves her house and was relieved she didn't pay attention to his red face after she had kissed him, how he so badly wanted it to be on the lips.

After a while Sadie finally picked up Millie and they were on the way to school. Millie was feeling nervous so she began to fiddle with the ring on her finger.

"You have nothing to worry about Millie" said Sadie trying to comfort her but it didn't really help. she wanted Finn, she needed him to whisper things to her, to hug her and help calm her down.

They finally made it to school and once she got off the car people were already looking at her. She walked in and it was like everyone stopped what they were doing and just starred at her, she was the center of attention and she didn't like it. She fiddled with the ring on her finger as they walked to her locker. Lucky her friends were there and Sadie had basically told everyone to fuck off so they stopped starring but some still glanced at her every so often.

"You okay?" asked Caleb who had his arm around Sadie. Millie breathed in as she nodded. Finn then came into view making her smile.

"You okay?" Finn asked while everyone else was in their own conversation. her breathing became shaky. "i'm scared Finn, i'm really scared" she was on the verge of tears but he shushed her hugging her tightly and then released the hug looking at her. 

"You have nothing to be scared of", wrong she see's iris and maddie walking towards her with smirks on their faces.

"What do u two bitches want" said Sadie

"We just came to say hi to Millie" Iris said with a fake voice "We are so glad that she's back"

"Welcome back Millie" said Maddie in a tone that made chills run through her spine. She knew she was up to something.

"Come on let's head to class" said Sadie as she pulled her towards the other direction. She turned around and smiled weakly to Finn who stayed with the boys.

For the most part Millie kept receiving stares especially when she would enter the class and take her seat, but other than that it was okay.

Millie goes to the restroom when she is washing her hands Maddie walks in with a devilish smirk.

"I see Finn is still your friend. I just don't understand why he's with someone like you." she doesn't stop, she fixes her hair and applies some lip gloss before turning to look at her

"You would think that you starving yourself would have made you skinny but you're still fat Millie. You look like a pig and you look way worse than before, you shouldn't have come back and you most certainly shouldn't be alive either"

Once Maddie leaves, leaving Millie there her breathing start increasing as she starts crying leaning against the wall. She texts Finn, she knows that he'll help calm her down. 

A minute goes by when he walks in the girls restroom walking towards Millie. She's grasping on the sink looking down as she breaths heavily.

He helps calm her down as she is now laying on his chest sitting down while his back is on the wall. She cries in his arms and feels like it was all a mistake to come back.

"WHAT'S WRONG WITH WHO I AM?!" she says. She is full on balling as she keeps repeating those words over and over again.

What's wrong with who i am, what's wrong with who i am. what wrong with me

He tries his best to calm her down as he rocks her back and forth holding her tightly as he kisses the top of her head but nothing seems to work.

"Millie there is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with you." he grabs her face in his hands, their faces being 3 inches apart

"After everything you still think that. why? Finn why?" she sobs. "Why do u care.. I'm not normal, there's something wrong with me, everyone is just better off without me. I'm sorry you have to deal with this i'm a burden"

"I just wanna disappear right now"

He wipes her tear before kissing her head "We're in this together"

"Promise" she holds out her pinky

"Promise" he wrapped his pinky around hers. She then hugs him wrapping her arms around his neck. She breathed in his scent that seemed to calm her down a bit. 

Finn feels his heart ache for her, she deserves happiness. She doesn't deserve the bullying, the eating disorder, having low self esteem and bringing herself down.

Once she calmed down a bit he helped her get up, he was glad that no one had walked in on them, since he was in the girls bathroom. 

"I don't want to go back. Can we please ditch"

He smiles as he remembers the memory when they ditched school and Millie freaked out. Best day ever                       *wink*( ya'll remember what happened?)

He nods as he grabs her hand saying "Just today" tomorrow they had practice for the graduation ceremony and then they will be official high school graduates so no more ditching.

"where do u want to go?" he asks once they were in his car.

"The beach" where it all really started between them.

They stayed at the beach for hours, spending their last moments together.
